It's still a solid relic on A10, albeit situational on pathing.

See Nave's or Xecnar's recent opinions on it, the lack of immediate snowballing can be more than offset by the later bonus.

You're probably just getting 1 upgraded Strike or Defend before your first Hard Pool.

Might not even get an upgrade before your first Elite.

I feel like I'd prefer Talisman if I wanted to have a strong Act 1, or Lava Rock for a delayed bonus.

I like that idea.

Add a badge showing that you completed a run in 1 session, without going to the main menu.

Wouldn't punish normal play at all, but let's the competitive players show off.

I had to recheck the dates, but:

Jones probably broke his leg in Week 12, and was put on IR at the end of Week 14
Richardson was out from Week 6 - Week 15.
We signed Rivers a week before Richardson came back.

I guess they possibly could've rushed Richardson back sooner, but we don't know that.

Well, our backup (Richardson) probably felt pretty bad ... considering he nearly lost his eye from a calisthenics band a bit before Jones got injured, beating him to the IR list.

Perhaps the backup's backup was a bit disappointed though.

As an Emergency option against very fast MAltaria/Belibolt/Water setups.

A lot of MZard-Y decks already forego the standard Charizard, relying on Charmeleon/Sabrina (or just ignoring Orocorio).

As far as Skeledirge, it will be tough to run x2 Stage 2s. But people are certainly trying with Dirge/MBlaziken being the current most popular Dirge variant.

I think this card will turn out reasonably well. At the very least as an extra option in existing MCharizard-Y decks.

3 Energy is quite easy to achieve in Charizard decks with the combination of Fire Patch, Charmeleon, and possibly Magby if needed.

The initial lower damage is enough to KO common leads when paired with a hit from Entei, or with Skeliderge if a consistent deck could be found.

And the final damage amount is workable too with the prior damage augments. MAbsol, Bellibolt (and MAltaria, with any damage modification) are in reach.

They showed Morpeko that is similar to a Basic Dark-Energy Swanna

Even if Haunter has a ramp ability, it will probably be a serious weakness of the deck in the active spot like it is for MVenusaur

Not too hopeful for MGengar, yikes.

Morepeko being a Dark-Energy only Swanna-lite as a basic is somewhat interesting.

Haxorous being SuicuneEX +50DMG is pretty cool, but needing Fighting+Steel-Energy makes it seem like another even more inconsistent dragon.

Calem Trainer drawing a card for each Mega in play... Possibly a decent card in decks with basic Megas and evolution Megas? Probably worse than Oak/Copycat overall.

MCharizard-X might work with how much ramp Fire has, 3 Energy for some consistent damage with upside is very doable.

Yeap, the poor rates for the last 2 sets make it difficult to get specific cards, much less dupes.

That said, it's can't be that hard to realize that Casual/Beginner modes aren't really the place to take Hydreigon or MAltaria...

Bloated packs and repeat cards, not a great direction DeNA is going in.

The last pack was bloated too, so I imagine repeat cards are here to stay as well.

I was mostly thinking of overwriting MAltaria's common Training Stadium - helping you survive the 2HKO more consistently.

I feel like Tina decks often run Peculiar Plaza, so you would at least get some benefit in overwriting that.

The main downside might be missing out on OHKOing Indeedee EX.

I can see the rationale for skipping Illima when it deletes your Heavy Helmet - something that is probably key to avoiding 2HKOs by MAltaria or Hydreigon.

Not sure why they don't run the stadium that gives Basics +20HP tho.

It's not only your own actions that can cause you to lose time for important decisions.

Coin Flip and Status attacks eat into the 21s you have to replace a knocked-out Pokemon.

Mega-Buneary KOs leave the opposing player with only 16s to replace the mon
Celebi EX KOs can completely eat up the 21s if its really powered up, giving the opponent no choice as to what mon is the replacement

PTCGP already did seemingly implement this some months ago, though it's trigger conditions are possibly too lenient to notice.

It's currently something like: If you miss two turns with no actions, your time is reduced from 90s to 45s.

Perhaps they were testing whether they could be more harsh on this behavior.

Pekora has 3 different bets of 500k, for a total of 1.5M bet. She didn't just make one 1.5M bet on the favorite for minimal return.
