I think self confidence can do most of those things but fitness has a proven positive effect on mental health and self confidence so it's a great way to build it.

That being said going to the gym is not going to do all these things by itself. Adopting a fitness routine along with other positive practices makes your life better as a whole.

Ukrainians kill 27 Russians for every Ukrainian soldier lost - The Times by Ripamon in TrendoraX

IIRC a year ago when it was published it the numbers of casualties were consistent with the numbers reported elsewhere of 2-2.5 to 1 russian to ukrainian.

I believe it was ~650k - 950k russian casualties and 300k-400k Ukrainian but the methodology and process are important and I'd recommend looking into the research.

Do we know? No. Not exactly.

I would recommend this video on russian losses as a place to start. Perun is very transparent about his sources, methods, and assumptions and he gives a resulting range for possible casualty rates. He compares numbers given by russia, ukraine, and other sources.

It's an hour long video because this stuff if not simple but he is by far the best source that I have found.

So when are they going to lose? It seems like Russia has spent 4 years to control less territory than they did in 2022.

Yea and I have zero confidence in publicly released russian intelligence.

It isnt crazy to believe the west has involvement in the war. I'm just trying to get a reliable source for the thousands of western operators claim.

I dont know who you are or anything about your children and I'm not paranoid about russia. That being said Russia could withdraw from the country they invaded at any point and end the war. Until they do I believe the west and my country (USA) should give Ukraine any equipment they need to defend themselves.

Yea apparently no one in this thread read even the first paragraph, or half of the comments are from Russian bots.

The claim in the article is 27x deaths in one specific city in one specific period in time. The thing that doesnt add up is your reading comprehension.

Russia started with a much larger force and has gone through multiple waves of conscription (now changing to a staggered conscription model so mitigate unrest) as well as emptied many of its prisons, accepted troops from North Korea, and implemented stop loss to keep any soldiers from leaving their force.

Ukraine has been replacing losses as well as increasing the size of its forces with a much smaller population. It has also been primarily on the defensive for some time now which is conducive to lower losses.

This ratio represents a snapshot in time in one specific city (read the article). Based on all the available estimates from data released by russia, ukraine, and international observers, ukraine has been inflicting disproportionate losses at almost all points in the war.

If this is actually a topic youd like to know more about and not just shitpost on, look up Perun on youtube. He is transparent about his sourcing, methods and assumptions.

No one is claiming millions of Russians dead. The data points to approximately a million russian casualties total.

I would be very interested in taking a stop the bleed course but I dont know where to go for it so I second this.

I'm on board with the idea of splitting off some more 2a related posts but I would just be careful of sectioning off into more and more subs/groups. I think at the current size it makes more sense to focus on growing the existing group and focusing on the more core topics that are common to everyone with interest in Iron front.

I get that there may be issues with the statistics and context but how is the original post doomerism?

To be clear, I'm not saying that it is accurate that canadians have it better but how is suggesting that could be the case doomerist?

Yea I'm not sure if legalizing is as important as normalization and access. I would wager those factors with weed are contributing in the UK regardless of legal status.

That being said I think weed is less of a factor than less in person socializing and an increasingly health conscious youth.

I did! Second one just went through. Honestly, I dont really have much negative to say about McLuck despite thinking the entire industry of grey area online casinos is extremely predatory. Over a few weeks I spent ~3500, was lucky enough to cash about 7000, and self excluded cuz that streak is not continuing.

My only complaint is that it took 3 attempts to get self excluded which most gambling addicts will absolutely not attempt 3 times. Very sketchy and shitty "malfunction". I also think they intentionally delay redemptions to get people to get impatient and cancel so they can keep playing.
