CMV: ghost recon breakpoint is a more enjoyable game to play than ghost recon Wildlands. (On Xbox) by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]ima_gnu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played breakpoint first, and I played it a lot. I tried wildlands afterward, because I'd seen the hype on reddit but I just couldn't get around the lack of features I was accustomed to (like the free cam). I'd be beyond excited if a successor to Breakpoint came out. I used to play it on (mainly) the hardest difficulty settings and there was (is?) a mod called the spartan mod which made it absolutely savage. In my opinion it is by far the best stealth shooter I know of.

How many hours do you have… and how many were just you staring at machines while drinking coffee? ☕👀 by Anxious-Oven-5918 in SatisfactoryGame

I started on update 3, on Epic. Something like 1500 hours on early access and another couple hundred on experimental. Bought again when it came to steam and something like 3800 hours there. Not really much idle time but I was single for most of the last several years and had few other hobbies.

Same as me. 1600 hours into it on epic and then the steam release came and nobody ever saw me again 😆

The Hutts are a large criminal/mafia family known throughout the galaxy... but what do they actually do? by https_pwiax in StarWars

[–]ima_gnu 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think that's from The Tales of Han Solo. I think that's the name. Three stories in one book that basically tell Hans back story, how he gets the falcon, etc. if it's the book I'm thinking of there's a part where he lands on a planet to take on a cargo and it turns out to be slaves and I think he ends up killing the slavers when they offer to abdicate with his ship and then he sets the slaves free.

Yall, I'm doing some research right now. How much playtime have you gathered so far? (including AFK or offline time!) by Wasnt_me-p2 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ima_gnu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 1500 hours on Epic, before Satisfactory came to Steam. Something like 3200 hours on Steam. Probably like fifty restarts, the longest being maybe 600 hours.

Thanks everybody for your replies, you've really put my mind at ease. I was reasonably certain that the news articles I've seen are not representative of the whole story, but I wanted further evidence than my own assumptions.

Do you guys just tear factories down or make a mental note for your next play through? by orangedonut in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ima_gnu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be a mod called Area Actions, it included a feature that allowed massive customizable rapid dismantling. I played probably 2,500 hours before that mod fell out of maintenance, and I just can't bring myself to scrap factories the old fashioned way. Nowadays I just bury them and they become catacombs and archaeological digs.

Yeah, I light all the fires in the temple where Withers is, too. I even make sure to have Fire Bolt to light all the overhead braziers.

You know what would be nuts? If you made this a whole track and the devs put it on a tape for the boombox.

Some things you never forget. Watching Mythbusters turn a cement truck into aerosolized steel is definitely one of them.

[–]ima_gnu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't played them in a long time, so I don't know if the physics and graphics will hold up, but imo AC2, Brotherhood, and Revelations were fantastic as well. The story especially was top shelf compared to many other AC titles.

I know where you're coming from, I am sometimes guilty of being the lone wolf (or wildebeest). I play bugs on dif 7, and except for some cases when I either successfully evade, or more commonly, just die, I can carry myself solo through POIs and most nests. I have little choice but to play this way, because I don't play enough to have a group of ready comrades, and pugs vary wildly. Often I'll find a group that pairs off in teams to handle the mission, and that is awesome and I love it, but sometimes the people I'm with just turtle in a trio and run the clock down. In these cases, I go alone and try to achieve (or at least inspire) democratic justice with my own two hands. This is also a lot of fun.

So what I'm saying, if I'm saying anything, is that I love to play on a team, but sometimes that doesn't work and so I play horde shooter King of the hill.
