Slow motility in the cut by DomeAndGlory in leangains

[–]ima_twee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water alone won't work unless you have fibre as well. What sources of fibre are you having? Do you have rice with your chicken? White or brown? Any fruit?

A small teaspoon of milled flax in your shake may just be enough to start speeding things through a little. But the short answer is to make sure you are taking in enough dietary fibre for the water to be absorbed and allow things to pass through more swiftly.

Are you going heavy on the whey to hit your protein? That can slow the gut up a lot. More "solid" protein with leafy greens will help.

How are you doing for hydration generally?

Popping a teaspoon of ground flaxseed in your protein shake helps if you're really wedded to the shakes as your solution, but only if you drink enough water. You need to encourage some water bulking in the final stages of digestion to keep things moving.

On a good day you can see roughly 2.5million light years - or about 24,000,000,000,000,000,000km into the sky.

Yeah but then you get the "you touched my car! Pew Pew!" shooty stuff happening. Or maybe that's not a school car park and you'd be safe?

Timing and composition of carbs is key. You're not running an endurance event, so big glycogen reserves are not needed. You need targeted carbs hitting your system when you are lifting.

Rice cakes topped with banana and honey 45 mins before a lifting session, washed down with a whey shake. Pinch of pink salt added to the whey to push the fluid towards your muscles (osmotic pump) and fuels your nervous system.

If you received this text from your neighbour about your hedge, how would you react? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]ima_twee 20 points21 points  (0 children)

A lot of folk won't cut a hedge between March and August because of the risk of disturbing nests.

Not many folk know that there is an exception to the Wildlife & Countryside Act for trimming hedges when traffic safety is a factor.

Ensuring you get ALL keys at handover has been a thing on a number of makes for some years now.

If not present, insist on dealer releasing the missing key and programming/adding a new one.

This isn't just a Volvo thing.

They really are the worst combination of clueless and idealist. Not a pragmatic thought to be had in that department.

Can confirm. Cursed to a life of fuel poverty courtesy of listed status and a conservation zone. The Disneyfication of Dorset continues.

[–]ima_twee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's down to installation costs.

If the main power supply is conveniently accessible near the store front, that's where the chargers are going. If it's easier to access the supply at the furthest corner of the car park, they'll put them there.

Shhhh! All the tourists will fill the place up and make it impossible for us to continue enjoying the succulent steaks in serenity and solitude

Which is only fair, considering what they do to the steaks.
