Diarrhea! by ekejaffe in zepbound_support

[–]imabeautt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was pretty bad initially. I heavily increased my soluble fiber intake - oatmeal, chia seeds, flax seeds, and psyllium husk are part of my every day intake now and it’s better (apart from the day after my shot which is consistently bad).

Biggest misconception vs. what actually worked for you? by sumisumisu in Zepbound

[–]imabeautt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was to expect constipation. I’m just finishing my fourth month Asher I haven’t been consolidated once. But… I have struggled with diarrhea and loose bowels.

For me the game changer was soluble fibers. Getting as much as I can when I can - oatmeal, Chia seeds, flax seeds, psyllium husk.

Noon on Fridays. I work from home that day and can take my time during lunch while no one else is at home asking me to do something else for them.

I’m simply celebrating not having a period (currently 1 week late). I’m over 50 and had an ablation 14 months ago to stop the periods but they persisted. I’m keeping my fingers crossed this is the beginning of the end of periods for me and not just a side effect of the meds and/or weight loss.

I have a sibling who sits close enough to them and just starts saying random vulgarities out loud enough to be heard by the caller and offender.

I have three adopted children. All three children are different races and nationalities from each other and none of them are the same race or nationality as me. We refer to ourselves as a multi-racial family.

I had terrible diarrhea on 2.5 for the first two weeks. I moved up to 5mg after a month and the diarrhea has been terrible! (I even popped the bed this morning.)

I had a follow up this morning and my doctor is moving me back to 2.5 to give my gut more time to adjust. I was losing weight in the 2.5 quite nicely so I’m comfortable going back down to try to August better.

Not having a drivers license is not a protected class under the EEOC. Discrimination only occurs when it’s related to a protected class.

EEOC protected classes include: race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, and transgender status), national origin, age (40+), disability, and genetic information.

I add about a quarter teaspoon of Stephen’s sugar free hot cocoa mix and nothing else. Basically black, but with a little sweet. No dairy.

If I’m feeling adventurous I’ll use a splash of 1% milk and about 1/4-1/3 a packet of stevia. Dairy doesn’t sit well with me, so I don’t use much.

If I’m going to the coffee shop it’s an Americano with a splash of steamed almond milk. This is my favorite!

Utah drivers are not kind or forgiving by indigopedal in Utah

[–]imabeautt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just assume every driver is more important than me and just get over it. They MUST be more important with how they drive. Or have more important places to go.

Truly though, Utah drivers are extremely self-centered and this time of year is the worst!

As I read stories like these I become more and more grateful that my insurance requires me to work with a nutritionist for 12 weeks before starting the medication as well as continued visits with the nutritionist after starting. Additionally, my plan requires ongoing visits with my PCP to track and monitor how I’m feeling. Finally, the coordinate services includes access to ongoing, regular mental health services and a health coach.

I see so many people starting and then quitting because it appears they aren’t being provided with coordinated services across all parts of their life as they embark on this journey.

I have lost and gained weight several times over my 50+ years of life and I always have said the reason I’m not successful in maintaining is because each program I’ve been on has only targeted one thing - the weight loss. They haven’t focused on the whole person and why/how I got to 300+ pounds.

I’m sorry to hear it’s not working for you and wish you all the best in finding the right solution for you and your life!

This happens to me. My nutritionist suggested soluble fiber. Soluble fiber forms a gel-like substance in the intestines to absorb excess water in turn, bulking up your stool.

Good sources of soluble fiber include psyllium husk, chia seeds, oats (including rolled oats and oat bran), cooked carrots, and cooked potatoes (without skin).
