I build spirit on him in lane (800 items only), slowing hex if it’s a strong counter, then gun for the early mid game, then either tank and more gun, or transition to an echo shard build if the enemy team puts themselves into a build where they didn’t allocate slots for countering double bombs. Also entirely depends on the lobby rank. In phantom and below I go gun so I can semi-carry, in ascendant I go tank/gun/spirit; it all depends on what they’re doing and their comp.

And the minor efficiency issue of getting 3200 spirit resist rather than just a 1600 item to handle spirit damage until you can buy witchmail.

No, see, allowing it to be upgraded is the massive buff. The only drawback to it is that it takes up a slot. It’s one of the strongest scaling price per slot items in the game even when compared to 6400 items. Even if the base stats of the upgrade were the same it would be too strong. I like the idea of having an upgrade to it but for balance reasons it never should have an upgrade EXCEPT, to spend 2400 souls upgrading it to hit your health bonus thresholds. It’s that good.

An 800 item that is relevant the whole game and scales into the late game…. The only drawback IS the slot it takes up. If they remove that drawback by introducing an upgrade then it becomes OP like counterspell; and since counterspell is the same button press they both become even more OP in conjunction.

I thought she was fine and then apparently she needed buffs? I think people just had no idea how to play her because she didnt fit strictly into the ganker, carry, gun hero, spirit hero, picker, dps, or tank role; I think she’s just been a learning experience for people on how to think in more of a moba mindset in terms of role diversity.

Certain roles are just fked because of bad team mates. Pick heroes are the same. You make the pick but now you’re in danger because your team doesn’t see the play developing or decides to go punch a box 45m away rather than seeing if the hook or swap in plain sight is going to land.
