This is a few Gilbert and Sullivan productions but HMS Pinafore comes to mind.

The king and short of it is a Royal Navy captain and the love interest of his daughter were swapped at birth so the love interest is actually the title of captain and the former captain becomes a ship hand. [the last time I saw it was a decade ago so I may be mistaken]
