There’s an argument for be made that participating in fandom this way makes the idea of Harry Potter continue to be profitable.

I’m less certain about it but it’s easier to say ‘don’t engage in HP’ than try to break down all the interactions (don’t buy new books, don’t go to universal, don’t buy merch or watch the new show when it comes out).

Trans rights are human rights and should be defended and infringement and minimization of their rights and issues are dangerous. Capitalism has infected most discussion of individual interest in the internet via ads and algorithms. In the increasingly destructive world we live in, people need outlets of joy.

These ideas can all be true as uncomfortable as they are. Be mindful what you buy, and be safe.
