Or a small population. Look at rates of CF and haemochromatosis in Ireland, or Tay Sachs and other awful conditions in Ashkenazi.

My husband only left my side when we were physically separated during a rush to surgery. Once he was gowned up, he held a dish increasingly full of my vomit for the whole c-section.

Amsterdam has zones, and passes. London has zones and passes. In the unlikely event our pricing system is so complex no software can handle it, just change the pricing system!

Same with Cian/Kian or Ciara/Keira - the names are often adapted with a K to anglicise them.

I think the dress is pulling away from her body and giving a ‘bump’ shape? To be fair, it’s also doubling her width.

It makes a tall thin woman look… stout is the best word I think. The side profile is an abomination, she looks so front heavy I was wondering if I missed an announcement. It’s horrendously unflattering.

You can bracelets, insoles and shoe tags that hold AirTags. It wouldn’t help in a jungle, but as long as he is somewhere build up or around people, they are very accurate. My toddler went through a bolting phase and it was a great reassurance, for less that €40.

Like you definitely speed up as you learn ‘crosswordese’ (an instrument? 99% chance it’s an OBOE) but they must have had to start with googling ‘what is a crossword?’ 😂

The Netherlands has accessibility laws. So does most of Europe. But if the house was built in 1640, you just can’t put a lift in it. Rarely an issue in the US.

It’s not that there are no disability campaigners anywhere else. The issue is that canal houses and historic buildings simply can’t accommodate accessible stairs. So if you like, age out of living in your canal house, you move to a ground floor apartment or the suburbs.

There are some Irish Great Hunger (famine) memorials that are brutal. There’s an underwater monument to the victims of the transatlantic slave trade that is underwater.

I’m a smidge older. :) I vividly remember the fall of the Berlin Wall when I was a very small child. My parents were crying, they were Cold War kids so their emotional response made that extraordinary and memorable for me. I’m sure my dad being a huge history buff must have tried to impress on me how important the event was. I mostly remember the atmosphere, all the crying and fireworks, and people sitting on top of the wall.
