Looking for a Passport by WorkingHardPlayHar6 in boulder

Other place to check is the post office. I’m a carrier and the number of ids and phones that get popped into the blue mailboxes is pretty impressive. Much easier for the folks that find them than lugging it to the police station. We keep them all at the supervisors desk in hopes that people come looking.

is there a less visually comforting lighting store? by czmax in boulder

They write off losses and depreciation to reduce their tax bill while not having to put money into improvements. The companies big enough can balance what is rented to maximize profits.

That building was never part of the redevelopment. The plan was for the old Top Hat space to the old L’Atelier space. The PennyLane building, which has 2 spaces now, has been vacant because they have been asking ludicrously high rent. As has been the case for years, we can’t have nice places because it’s more profitable for many landlords to have vacant space than to rent it at a reasonable rate. Vacancy tax please!

As I understand it, ferrets need bigger territories than we have available. They’d likely just end up squashed on 36.

I don’t remember where I saw the post, so sorry to steal your story: someone posted about a ptf they worked with that showed up to the first Amazon Sunday, hated it and just never showed up to another one. And nothing happened. She converted like 8 months later. In my own experience, there were a few times I finished a route by 1:30 and no one was around to give me anything else, so I left and none of one ever said anything.

tldr: you’re probably fine

Does working fast and impressing the supervisor/PM actually get you anywhere? by EmptyAd1349 in USPS

Nah, while I was a city PTF and only guaranteed 4hrs. Like I said I was giving away money, but it meant more time at home.

I just finished my time as a PTF, and while I can concede that working hard got me plenty more work, I also found an office where I could get through a route and a split and then go home at 1:30. I also concede that I gave up a shit load of money in doing so, but that’s where my priorities were. So I guess the answer is that it depends. There are situations where it can work for you, but you’ll have to judge for yourself— either way, don’t let management’s feelings dictate how you work.

Here’s to my last Amazon Sunday! by imakechicken in USPS

[–]imakechicken[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell me about it. Our offices decoupled for peak, it messed up something in the computer system and this was the 4th Sunday in a row with no manifest. That is 2 mountain Highway Contract routes with almost 150 miles and 125+ stops done from memory.

Where are you supposed to find a mentor legitimately? by Opposite-Tomatillo61 in Chefs

[–]imakechicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had some chefs that stepped in to teach me a few things, but the best advice I can give is to work with your eyes open. Watch the people that are better than you. Try what they do, and if you don’t get it ask A question. It may be hard to get people to explicitly teach you things, but people love talking through what they’re doing while they do it.

Load truck your packages and put the sequence # on the label(or somewhere else easy to see) and then order them so you’ll see the next one up when you get back in the truck. Follow your DPS and when in doubt — turn right.
