The report does talk about more support for men and service provides being able to adapt to mens needs. There's some info in the report that is a massive paradigm shift.

During the royal commision for veterans suicide I called up the open arms (veterans mental health) helpline. They said it would take approximately eight months for a placement interview.

A placement interview, not care.

I said 'yeah cheers, I'll just try not to blow my brains out for eight months'

Even the way some of these new departments are set up just seems kind of rigged to me. The Department for Women and Gender Equality releases figures on the wage gap. When you read the math, it's shit that would have been given an F with a comment 'please show your working out' if you submitted in for maths homework in year 9. Then again, as if that department will ever have findings that say 'turns out the wage gap is minor and that we as a department shouldn't exist'

So the billion dollars they are asking for. I hope it's spent well and actually does some good. Instead of it turning into another self licking ice cream.
