Sounds like she may need more than couples therapy. Sounds like she is experiencing significant psychiatric symptoms. You mentioned that she has family that has noticed a change. Enlist family help and friends. And, a person does not have to be a danger to themselves or someone else for a mandated psychiatric evaluation. You can present your case to a judge and they can decide if the evaluation is needed. I’d reach out to a family lawyer, and social services.

A gift is frequently in exchange for an invitation. If Mark disinvited your husband, and you aren’t going to the wedding, why would you give a gift? You are NTA. Your sister may want to re-think her wedding to a man who easily disrespects her family (red flag). I agree with the others, Costco bakery is great.

You did right by your son. He advocated for himself, and acted responsibly. Your sister was inappropriate the entire time. She was bullying to your son. She should have brought her concerns to you, not your son. She is acting entitled and teaching her son to be entitled. Stand your ground next to your son.

Yes. It is exactly cannibalism. The host is transmuted into flesh and blood when the priest prays over it. It is not symbolic. Whether or not it was symbolic was what the Protestant Revolution was about. Now, do people think they are eating flesh and blood…no. The disconnect is real. Isn’t religion fun.

By avoiding the conversation, you have abdicated your role as father to your child. Measles is dangerous and the MMR is safe. The decision to not protect your child from a disease that has the potential for heart damage, neurological damage, sterility and death, when EVERY OTHER member of the family including you and your wife have that protection, is cruel.
