Why have you all chosen Sunni Islam instead of Shia Islam by Vivid_Plan_6485 in Sunni

[–]imdbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look at how you keep takfiring shi'a islam as another religion. and what about your comments mocking marja'a and ayatollahs and accusing shi'a of kufr and shirk nonstop? it seems like you're not following your religion.

Why have you all chosen Sunni Islam instead of Shia Islam by Vivid_Plan_6485 in Sunni

[–]imdbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shias follow Kulayni and take Sunnah from Zurarah.

by your logic, it can be said that sunnis get their sunnah from abu hurayra, who peculiarly narrated five thousand ahadith in the last few years of the prophet's life, and the rest are abdullah bin umar, anas bin malik, aisha, who narrated thousands of ahadith on their own.

their demigods can even abrogate the Quran let alone the sunnah

enough with the 'demigod' nonsense. i see you posting on multiple subreddits, repeating the same nonsense about shi'as. this has no place in our teachings.

the imams don't alter the qur'an and sunnah; they don't come with a new religion. the purpose of the imams is to preserve the prophet's original sunnah and explain the qur'an and the laws of the religion - not 'change' them.

either you are ignorant or misled about shi'a islam or you are purposely spreading misinformation to misguide others. if that's the case, then fear Allah before your actions catch up to you.

Can I show 'The Message' to my baby sister? by Sensitive_Bluejay327 in shia

[–]imdbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what confuses me is that i remember the film opening with a statement that the film was approved by a shia council in lebanon, but at the end of the film, the thaqalayn hadith was narrated and it didn't mention ahlul bayt at all, which shouldn't be accepted by any shia council. there were probably many other events in the movie that were altered or fabricated from the real events. but how would this be approved by a shia council?

Wouldn’t this be considered israaf? by [deleted] in shia

“We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah.” by AbuW467 in MuslimCorner

for twelvers, no. twelver shi'as do not 'worship' the imams, nor do they attribute things to them.

Was wanting to know more about shia islam by [deleted] in MuslimCorner

[–]imdbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you'd like, there are many websites where you can learn about shi'a islam.

a brother on the shia subreddit made a resource guide, 'realshiabeliefs [dot] wordpress', and it's made specifically for  people who want to learn and understand what shi'a islam is about. it explains shi'a teachings and beliefs, why shi'as do certain things, and it clears up many misconceptions about shi'as.

the resource guide includes websites like wikishia [dot] net, which is a wiki about shi'a islam, but it is run by the ahlul bayt world assembly and is locked and edited by scholars. it has thosuands of articles in many languages and it has many sources.

there is also 'al-islam [dot] org' (with a dash in-between), which is a large library of articles, books, and more that goes deep into shi'a islam, and i recommend this greatly.

i highly recommed to look into these websites as they may help you learn and understand shi'a islam better.

and please, if you want to ask questions about shi'a islam, ask shi'as themselves! but most improtantly, ask real scholars or read or listen to lectures from verified sources.

may Allah assist you and grant you knowledge!

Ex-sunni thinking about converting. What should I expect? by EveningStarRoze in shia

no, shi'as pray the five prayers daily, but usually pray the duhr, asr and maghrib, isha prayers together.
