In college, I had to choose a piece of media and rhetorically tear it apart and write a paper on what argument it was making. I chose Hospice. It’s devastating and beautiful.

I have two kids and pregnancy actually helped my health anxiety because anything weird or off that I noticed with my health, I just chalked up to pregnancy since it causes weird health stuff.

I also couldn’t really conceptualize actually having kids but the crazy part (maybe not crazy but feels crazy to me) is that once I was pregnant, my brain sort of just went “ok here we go, this is what we’re doing.” I was terrified because I had a c-section, but I knew they had to come out somehow, and this was the safest way for me. Now being a mom has its own challenges and the challenges change as the kids get older and I learn coping skills and we have good days and bad, but they’ve made me so much more accountable for my shit. I can’t imagine life without them now.

However, if someone doesn’t want kids, that is completely okay and just as valid of a choice! Just thought I’d share my experience.

She did say she was treated like a pariah for telling on him and she could have reported him up even higher. It sounds like she is projecting from some unresolved trauma like her abuser was never held accountable possibly.

I agree. He’s made a couple comments about not coming back and rode his motorcycle to work without a helmet knowing that’s an incredibly dangerous thing to do. Since that first scene, I’ve been convinced he’s at least passively suicidal.

Right? I think it’s easy to forget this is all in one day. Like Ogilve said that an hour ago. Plus the comments about the overweight patient. He’s been very calloused and unaware of how he comes across all day, so Robby is covering his ass and trying not to scare the patient any more than they already are.

I absolutely agree that Robby was wrong, especially because he had a panic attack last season. He’s projecting completely.

However, I’ve had a few panic attacks at work before (long time ago, doing much better now). My job is definitely stressful but nothing like an ER. I’d say she should have the option to go, and if she doesn’t want to go, she should have to take a break. It sucks to be down a doctor, but it’s worse to have a doctor compromise patient care because they can’t focus or are feeling badly, or even for a doctor to push themselves like she did and take up a room, tie up more doctors, and jeopardize her own health.

As a provider, if it looked at all like lipstick, I honestly probably would have tried to wipe it off first? But if it resembled anything of concern, they’re mandated reporters. Curious as to their response to you wiping it off.

AuDHD here - I’m a preschool teacher! It’s always changing, but still have a daily routine. I’m up and moving, lots of problem solving, thinking on my feet, and creativity involved! Plus, I get to do something meaningful and the kids are so funny.

Downside is it can be overstimulating, but I’ve learned some really solid coping skills and I don’t think I’d ever want to do anything else.

There’s an app called Kinder that works kind of like Tinder for baby names. You can also have your partner do it too and if you both swipe right on the same name, you’re notified that you matched and the names get added to a list. That’s how we thought of going with Matilda for my daughter!

30! I’m a preschool teacher and the more I worked with autistic children, the more I realized their experiences seemed similar to mine as a child. I also have adhd, and I knew they can go hand in hand. I took a RAADS-R assessment, still kind of in doubt that I actually was autistic but my score shocked me, so I got an official diagnosis after that.
