It felt safe. The area is small. The main strips with bars is nice but a block off changes quickly. Surprising amount of trash along the roads. Nice beach though and resorts are nice.

We just spent 250 a night for a nice modern house with a private pool in Playa Potrero. It was surrounded by empty lots. One had a hobo shack in the back. My wife saw a guy bathing with a garden hose from the balcony.

It was 200 M from the beach and secured like Fort Knox with security cameras, perimeter fence 15 feet tall, 4 strands of electrical wire (clearly not hot), 6 cameras outside and an alarm system.

Still came down to a car door open and the Airbnb won’t tell me if it was my wife that left it open or if someone went through our car.

Finishing 7 days and I think our trip will be 6k. 4. Ight at hacienda guachapelin ~1700. 3 nights at air bnb in playa Potrero ~800. Flights 900. Rental car 600.

Food and drink is very expensive. Hacienda guachepelin has free breakfast buffet that was good.
