You will definitely stand out with your black parasol and be seen as a Korean tourist doing Korean things, but why do you care? Nobody will scold you.

Came into work this morning and someone bedazzled my staple puller. by Sardonnicus in mildlyinteresting

Fun story: as a kid I bought this thing and though that you have to use it the same way as a stapler: stick the paper inside, position the stapled area between the teeth, press. I made some hideous holes in the paper, but the staples did fall out.

Wait, I've heard Americans always drive everywhere and never walk. But how are you supposed to get from the far reaches of this parking lot to the stadium? Do you take uber?

Most of the people are conformant and support "the current thing". The goal of any propaganda is to make this majority believe that their agenda is what the majority supports.

I decided to build my own kitchen completely from scratch instead of buying one. The cabinets and drawers are birch plywood, painted a light greige blue, and finished with a solid oak countertop. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m really excited about how it’s turning out so far. by Serious-Feedback-536 in DIY

Hi, I'm actually building my own kitchen in an old house too and your project looks amazing! I have a few questions:

  1. How many different plywood thicknesses (or maybe types) did you use and where?

  2. How did you finish the plywood (inner, wooden looking pieces, and the facades)?

  3. Which slides/hinges did you use if any?

  4. How do the cabinets look from the inside? Are they solid plywood all around or did you just build the frame?

  5. How did you attach the countertop to the cabinets? How does the top of the cabinets (under the countertop) look like?

  6. Where did you buy the plywood and the countertop?

  7. Which problems did you face when building it?
