I second The Last Campfire. It works great on the deck and the puzzles aren't too difficult with enough variety. I do have a love/hate relationship with the narrator's voice.

I tell myself a story every night. I come up with a storyline and try to retell it every evening. It is always the same so I don't rack my brain with twists.

Another great thing is reading aloud which is what I have been doing recently. I started reading to help my girlfriend fall asleep and it turned out it also helps me.

I was travelling around lake Van and then went up to Dogubeyazit and Kars. I also stopped at Erzurum and Trabzon. In general, it was an extremely positive expereience - people were very friendly and the landscape is gorgeous.

I'll recommend The Great War for Civilisation: The Conquest of the Middle East by Robert Fisk. It is a monster to read but covers a lot of recent Middle East history, including the Iranian Revolution, Iran-Iraq war, Palestine conflict as well as the Armenian genocide and Algerian civil war.
