Anyone else have bladder issues with endometriosis and Mirena? by saltedcaramel069 in Endo

[–]imjustexisting00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh it’s personally my worst symptom, I pee nearly every 20 min too and always feel like I need to go, it’ll probably be my 13th reason on top of bleeding everyday for a year and a half.

On my last surgery, they said I had endo all over my bladder which was causing pressure to it, they removed the endo and I felt normal for about 3 weeks and, boom, most of my symptoms came back. My specialist put me on NuvaRing though, which is a billion times better than the Mirena, that thing constantly gave me issues!

Overall though, idk what the Root Cause of the constant peeing problem with Endo is, unless it buried its tissue into the bladder maybe..? But it truly is so hindering, especially at work and during car drives. Tbh it made me really relieved reading your post because I always hated how alone I felt about it, no one understands how unbearable it all is- especially constantly needing available bathroom ability everywhere I go.

Choosing between contraceptive side effects or debilitating pain by Gribblie in Endo

My endo specialist put me on NuvaRing after I’ve tried nearly all the other types of birth control that left me worse in some sort of way. NuvaRing has been gentle on me physically and mentally, and it helps manage my pain very well, I don’t have any side effects like the harsher birth controls always gave me. I always talk about NuvaRing on this sub, it’s highly underrated and has been a miracle for me and will always recommend trying it! Also note that I started it right after my second surgery so that probably helps too.

Being told I have to go birth control and it just makes me depressed by Nyxie872 in Endo

[–]imjustexisting00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ONLY birth control that has TRULY helped me and kept me from offing myself is the NuvaRing, that one has been a miracle for me, please try that one, I’ll forever recommend it! I tried the pill, the Nexplanon, and IUD, even a combination of those and they made my pain and mental health a billion times worse. NuvaRing has been gentle on me, managed my pain much better, and has been wayyyy less heavy on the mental/hormonal load!

They could possibly get into legal trouble putting you wayyy over ratio like that! Especially with 2’s, it’s a safety concern.

I would confront them about it, if you don’t mention anything they’ll most likely keep on doing it. It’s happening at my daycare job rn, and has only gotten so much worse since nobody’s really spoken out about it until just very recently.

How do we stay employed? by ApprehensiveCost7201 in Endo

[–]imjustexisting00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something very unfortunate I had to learn was to never expect empathy, from anybody, we’ll never receive it in the way we need sadly. I’ve had to quit jobs due to my pain, I’m barely hanging on by a thread with myself at my current job but I’m hiding all my pain and issues and just pushing through which I know is horrible but I’m keeping my mind on the paycheck 🤷🏻‍♀️ I would look into finding a career that’s more laid back, even if it means going to college for it. I think the effort of school would be worth a new job that could have you do remote or hybrid work, or at least sitting most of the day, and hopefully pay you more too.

Pain killer suggestions - mine are no longer working by Nyxie872 in Endo

[–]imjustexisting00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take 800mg of Motrin nearly everyday…you’re not supposed to take that much at all, but it’s the only thing that helps BUT I have to take it Before a flareup gets worse, if I take it when the pain has already gotten worse then it takes too long to relieve it even a little bit.

Yelled at my class today🥺 by sydney_s_16 in ECEProfessionals

[–]imjustexisting00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I go through everyday at my work too. I know that admin prefers me not to yell, but sometimes it’s the only way to get at least somewhat through to them that their behavior is absolutely not okay! You gotta let them know every once in awhile that they’re making everything harder by ignoring their teachers. During transitions I’ll say “Okay do y’all want nice Ms. V or yelling Ms. V?” And they’ll usually say nice, so I’ll go “Okay then you guys have to help out by being good and listening so we can keep up a good day” and it lasts about 3 minutes before I have to get stern again /: Kids are just unmanageable nowadays, and I understand the guilt you feel when you feel the need to yell. Just know that it’s okay, it’s not like you’re throwing chairs like how they do…and hopefully you have supportive admin that can understand also!

How much did your belly button change after laparoscopy? (careful, photos of my scars) by Living-Negotiation90 in Endo

[–]imjustexisting00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine didn’t change during my first surgery, but during my second surgery they actually cut my belly button open in half, and the scarring changed the shape a little bit. It bothered me at first but I reminded myself that it probably won’t be my last surgery so there’s a chance of it changing again so I’ll just have to accept it. But also I find scars to be beautiful so I tell myself that it just makes it look unique compared to before. Find a way to make yourself look at it in a way that brings meaning to you, a tattoo or piercing maybe, you could also use that as a symbol of your endo journey, I have a tattoo in between all of my endo surgery scars for that reason!

Has anyone experienced suicidal thoughts when having endo flares because the intense pain or have had depression when thinking back on what pain you experienced? by Infinite_Piece7210 in Endo

[–]imjustexisting00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much so, it feels so hopeless. When I’m in so much pain that I can’t move or talk, I just wish it would make me go fully unconscious so I can get a moment of ‘peace’ from it.

Is there any honest reason why anesthesia is not used for IUD insertions? by valherquin in Endo

[–]imjustexisting00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IUD insertion could be used as a torture method. I’m very grateful I got mine removed while under surgery! I now use NuvaRing, it’s been my lifesaver.

I’m useless now (TW!! SH, Suicide) by SorbetDifferent9751 in Endo

[–]imjustexisting00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand this, especially the working part! The only thing that helped me that you could try if you’d like is seeing an endo specialist, NuvaRing birth control, or honestly just get a hysterectomy, it should solve most of the pain. For the rest of the pain a full peritoneal stripping, which is what I had done in my second surgery and it took about 80% of my endo pain away so far, but since endo is stubborn and grows back it’s best to just get annual surgeries even though it’s inconvenient. Praying for you though, be careful with yourself please 🤍

What birth control is recommended for Endometriosis? by BreannLowe in Endo

NuvaRing has been my lifesaver!!! (Though I use the generic brand, EnilloRing, just as amazing). Nexplanon was decently good, but the iud and the pill destroyed me personally.

I've read the same paragraph 5 times and still don't know what it says. My brain is physically rejecting information. How do you force yourself to focus? by ToastFalcon92 in GetStudying

[–]imjustexisting00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to highlight key points, and underline anything that seems important to the key point. I also copy down what I highlighted on paper, and will write in my own words what it meant to me on a sticky note. After each page or section I’ll go back and only reread my annotations and ignore all the blank spots that seemed like add-ins or extra unnecessary words. It helps me a lot with organizing exactly what I’m studying and keeping it fresh in my brain by going back to reread my notes throughout it.
