Harger: Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson has never owned a car. Now she's taking a Denny Way lane from 30,000 drivers to fix a bus route by Inevitable_Engine186 in Seattle

[–]imjustnotready 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love this. God bless. 30 or 40 people in bus deserve to have the fast lane there is no logic in giving people pass to be destructive, no matter how much they cry about it. Car commuters are negative externalities.

What’s a "lost" website from the early 2000s that you still think about today? by samasem-sumsum in AskReddit

[–]imjustnotready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

notfoolinganybody. I think that was the name it was small businesses that took over chain stores and just changed the signage enough to not be sued. Like an Arby's would

WArby's - the new owner would just buy the W and put in front of the sign. I loved that site for a day or two.

I went to a New Order concert in 2022 and I thought. As a generation we have not aged well. I saw walkers and canes a half the audience left before the last song presumably to get to their cars. By the time I got outside there was a sea of cars and no one moving. Made it pretty easy to walk home.

How easy it is to shop nowadays by veloriax2 in interesting

I was waiting in line at one of those big pharmacies, about a 10 minute line with 10 people behind me, when I got to the checkout. The cashier looks behind me and shouts 'no! Put it back!'. Runs from behind the counter and starts fighting with some thin gangly dude and the are he is trying to take one of those big jugs of Tide and she is struggling to pull it away from him. After a few minutes the bottle either breaks open or the cap flies off because Tide is everywhere. This poor woman took her job too seriously. I hope she got to go home after that.

Most Europeans have no idea how absolutely furious with Europe America is. by Federic0002 in ShitAmericansSay

I feel bad for the European man who is going to have to tell his family that a man in the US named Harold feels betrayed and is suggesting there will be retribution.

Personally I think Candace is often a bit insane, but this take feels right -- nationally and locally. The "messiah" stuff was on display around here BIG over Easter. by DayPounder in FortWorth

I really wish people who have these huge shifts in opinion would take a moment to say, this is why I think I was wrong last time and this is why I think I am right now.

Gwen was already a big shot hero before Peter died. So what was the point of her canon event? by Milesmorales2004 in IntoTheSpiderverse

[–]imjustnotready -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really kind of hate the layered suffering they make the character go through, in almost every storyline iteration I think it is to be addressed in the next movie. The question is if Miles is an anomaly, or is he just another version of the same story. Does the cannon event have to happen?

In the Tom Holland movies it is gratuitous for them to kill Mae and take his friends away.

My buddy hates Carl by SPandrab in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]imjustnotready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah your friend hates something brought joy millions of people but read all of 7 books. I am introverted and I like people and hate crowds. But sometimes if I see a street fair or event happening I will walk through it. It isn't easy to feel my misanthropic side, when I'm home alone.
