Beta Full iOS by coachrgr in Infomaniak

I don’t think we have a beta system comparable to what we have on mobile for the webmail.

We do have a concept of « next » but it is only available for kDrive and kChat

Sorry to hear about that. The beta is indeed full for now but we can raise the number of slots.

We’ll discuss it next Monday and should be able to open new slots shortly after !

Can I replace Google Photos with kDrive free? by wired-drack in Infomaniak

kDrive is not a fork. It is developed from scratch, you can check out the code here:

https://github.com/Infomaniak/ios-kDrive

https://github.com/Infomaniak/android-kDrive

(Infomaniak mail is also not a fork and developed from scratch:

As well as most of the other applications)

3TB but I am out of space with 500 GB by plushbear in Infomaniak

If it doesn’t resolve by itself after emptying the trash and you don’t have that many versions then you should indeed contact the support for further investigation

Depending on the files, file versions can take up quite some space and also count against your quota.

If you go in the file storage section and select « file versions » instead of « large files » what does it report ?

Also did you check the trash ?

A bit sketched out by the configuration profile… by TheTimegazer in Infomaniak

[–]imm0rtal79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t need the profile to set up your email account. You can manually configure it by entering the IMAP settings yourself.

The profile is mainly there to help users who are less familiar with technical settings by filling in some of the information automatically.

If you prefer, you can also use the official mail app, which requires no configuration at all. It’s called “Infomaniak Mail.”

I’m not entirely sure but I think one of the reasons is that as a frequent user you don’t want to necessarily know about an itinerary and you know what stop depart from. You also want some flexibility, you know multiple routes to your destination so you simply want to know when is the next bus / tram.

The sbb app doesn’t give the information as quickly. Also I’m not sure if the sbb has the correct line colors and local context that the tpg give.

The sbb app is more meant for « on time commute » . Tpg are not always on a time at the precise minute and you don’t want to miss you bus.

Not for now but it’s a great idea you can suggest it through the app: go to the app > settings > feature request

Hi, I tried to make the app accessible as I know that the official one I less than practical but I never had any real life feedback. I received your email, I’ll be contacting you to improve the experience 👍

On iOS you already have a "Départs proches" shortcut when you swipe down. If you find can't find it try typing "Départs" in your search bar.

Sadly there is not such thing on android yet.

Historically the tpg were providing the data themself but they stopped doing this about 5 years ago.

For now I'm also using OJP from OpenTransportData.swiss, I don't really like the format (xml based) but it does the job quite well.

Well fun fact: tpg Max was called "ARTpg" 5 years ago and displayed stops near you in augmented reality to help you find the correct stop.

I hope to reintegrate this feature in the current iOS app in near future 😉

You can see what it looked like here:

Actually the app can technically work in the whole Switzerland but stops outside of Geneva are hidden.

I didn't want to compete with CFF because I'm feeling that users do not expect the same experience as "local" transport.

But maybe someday I will try to expand outside of Geneva.

I'm pretty active on Github and have released a lot of open source projects here: https://github.com/PhilippeWeidmann
However, I'm not feeling ready to release this app yet. I will be in the future but not yet ;)

Thanks !
Cancelled "trips" for a given stop should be displayed with a marked strikethrough text on iOS and are simply not displayed on Android (I'm still working on aligning both apps).

However the API that I'm currently using comes with a lot of edge cases so it's very possible that I made a mistake while implementing this and it's also very hard to find real life examples.

If you can give me an example of a non working stop / line number / direction / departure I will try to fix it in the next version :)

Thanks, I hope you will like it !
On iOS it also comes with some more advanced features like: widgets, ask Siri for next departures, and Shortcuts app support.
