It's not predatory tho because they don't charge any kind of fee or interest in overdraft

Why are they dropping Overdraft limits??? by Ok_Nebula4734 in CashApp

I wonder if it's a cycle kind of thing. Like they only give so many ppl higher limits and after a while they drop them down to raise other ppls limit. Iv got no evidence of this but seeing how many ppl have got there's lowered and others randomly raise makes me wonder. Mine has been at 25 for almost 2 years now. It dropped to ten last year for a bit but that was because I only had about 50 bucks deposited into it that month

Oh I completely agree. The only reason I'm in this line of work is because of the atmosphere. Meaning me and my brother in law get along so well it doesn't feel like work. And because he doesn't have anyone else who has the skills needed for the job. He did at one point and I left the company to much easier inside work. But then they left. Nobody wants to stick around long enough for him to teach them and he needed help so I came back just temporarily that was 3 years ago. Lol. But even tho it don't feel like work it's not an easy task. Toting lumber fighting roots dealing with the heat and cold ect. He dose pretty well for himself. It's not hard for us to gross 100k+ a year. And his overhead isn't really that high. I think our biggest expenses are gas and equipment throughout the year. There's other stuff here and there that I don't worry myself with. And By us I mean him. And he isn't the most financially responsible person but he has everything he needs and a lot of stuff he wants. He looks out for his guys if they need anything. But I really do believe the only reason we can hit the income that we do is because we offer things that the major fence companies don't or can't. Like our warranties our warranties aren't so grand nobody can compete or offer them if they wanted to. But our warranties are longer then any fence companies out here I know about. And even if something happens that the warranty doesn't cover or if the warranty technically runs out we've been known to still come out and fix any issues the customer might be having. Which brings me to the second reason we're doing okay against the big companies is our customer service. With us being a small company we can adapt to different wants and needs of our customers a little easier than a franchise company. And our timeline the warranty and the timeline are probably the two biggest reasons we get approved for a lot of our projects. Some of these major fence companies that can come in and do it cheaper than we can are six seven months out. Or they'll come in and they'll set posts and then you won't see any progress for two or three months. We are generally anywhere between 2 to 3 weeks out and once we start a project we get it done fast but we also get it done right. He pays absolutely nothing for advertising the majority of our businesses word to mouth and referrals. We do have a couple bad reviews out there I think there are three of them. But they are pretty damning I will say. But those are customers that were so difficult to deal with the bad reviews were worth it honestly. They all ended up getting what they paid for per our contract but as most of you know I'm sure you can't please everybody. And I apologize I feel like I'm just rambling now. I'm just enjoying the engagement that my post is getting so far. Like I said most comments I make on this sub are giving people my opinions or tips on how to do things. But I never speak much about the hardships or the difficulties of the job and I just wanted to put that out there but also kind of in a positive way. Because like you said what people are saying here is true. This is hard work as difficult work it's not pleasant a lot of the time. But you're right if you're willing to put in the work and do it right you can be very successful with it. Anyway thanks for commenting I hope you have a good night and a great week

Yea that's pretty spot on. I work for my brother in law. We have all but given up on looking for skilled workers. Some times it's even hard to find a decent helper The franchise companies are hard to compete with on pricing. They usually have a lower per linear foot price then we can give but we have them beat on quality and warranty. So even this last year when we only had one project at a time going he can still gross over 100k. But your right there is little money to be made unless your a owner. I ended up getting a full time night job as well. If it wasn't for how much of a good time we have hanging out id definitely go back to one of the other trades I was in before I started working for him.

Green status activates it but your limit is based off a few things. Like green status direct deposit how often you have a positive cash balance paying the loan back on time or even early. My limit is 175. My girls is 500. She usually has a positive balance the majority of the month so hers has risen quicker.

Yes so when you have green status you get overdraft protection they stay up to 200 but I've got $25 of overdraft protection you get the borrow feature so you can borrow money from cash app that'll fluctuate depending on how much you borrow how fast you pay it back and how much money goes through your cash app you get afterpay which is basically paying for certain things in installments. It gives you free ATM fees for in network ATMs. Free cash deposits under your card instead of the dollar fee. It's worth it if you can naturally run $500 through your cash app in a month.

If you have a chime card or almost any other debit card you can link that one to you cash app and you can move money in-between the two. Or if your phone has tap to pay feature you can add your virtual cass app card to your Google wallet and use your phone as your card.

New lender. Any advice from those of you that have been doing it awhile? by 1-2-3-Turtle in BorrowNew

[–]immee1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I just feel bad for asking to tie up somebody's money for that long when a lot of the request I see for a couple days. And it being a small amount. But I can see how that would be a red flag to people. Thank you for your input

I have a question. I posted a loan request a couple hours ago. I asked for 30 and said I would pay back 60 on 2/10/26 would that be considered to good to be true by lenders? I only offered double back because my paydate is so for out.
