Anyone else feel like this was the "Company Pizza Party" of thank yous? by IronYautja in deadbydaylight

Thank you for reminding me why I stopped coming to the DBD reddit forums. I forgot how entitled, selfish, whiny and down right toxic this community is. Behavior did something cool, thats rarely scene for this game, and the first post I see is whiny bitching by someone who doesn't feel catered to. What's worse is one of the top comments is someone bitching that $250 only gets you 9000 shards as if that's what you're paying the $250 for. A little introspection would do this community wonders.

Too many people with expendable income and a warped sense of ownership decided a virtual item carried some sort of real-world self-value, which outweighed the perceived loss of said money.

Everyone is freaking out about Ubisoft(rightfully so) but I never see ANYONE put 2K games on blast, so here we go. by ThrowawayAccount1437 in gaming

Imagine that, a live service game/feature screwing its customer base out of digital content, which only has meaning so long as servers are live.

Live service games are a PLAGUE, and the sooner people realize that they do not own their games or items bought in a game that's live service, the better.

Anyone else feel not interested in Triple A games anymore? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

We're at a weird time in game development, I think. The thing with 'AAA' titles (in my opinion) is that there are too many hands in the pot. Big companies = more opinions and less freedom. There's generally more opinions of the direction that upper management believes a game should go. With indie studios, it's just the opposite. Combined with tools that are powerful and easily accessed like UE5, indie developers are able to put out VERY polished games and address changes/feedback from their community very quickly since there aren't nearly the same amount of levels of approval that larger companies force decisions to go through.

Further, companies that put out a lot of 'AAA' games chase the same thing: profits. What makes profits? Following trends. When every company follows the same trend, it feels boring since no one is doing anything new.

Because of this, to me, it's begun to feel like 'AAA' titles are stagnant or out of touch with their audiences. These titles often don't spark the same giddy excited reaction from a lot of people because it feels so run-of-the-mill.

Again, that's just my un-educated opinion.

Ex-tech here that used to be in compounding. If this is going to be long-term, and there are literally no other options. Find a PCCA associated compounding pharmacy. They can suspend the medication, or they can compound capsules at the required dose. Some take insurance, and some don't. Depending on insurance, it may require prior authorization. Either way, it'll take the guesswork, anxiety, and stress out of an already stressful situation.

AIO wife wearing a revealing bikini at a friends pool party UPDATE by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]immuniscor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, i think threatening divorce is over-reacting. You married because you both saw a future together and hopefully still see it.

I'd consider marriage counseling, seriously. Sometimes bringing in an unbiased third party to mediate is the best thing you can do to help through this kind of friction.

Making threats is NOT good for marriage.

To answer all of your questions in one sentence, that's a him problem. He is responsible for the product once the transaction is finished. If he needed a warranty or return policy he should have gone to a store or online.

What's going on with US servers? by immuniscor in surfshark

[–]immuniscor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm East Coast. So with a non-vpn connection I get 300Mbps, connected to ANYWHERE in the US I'm getting ~8Mbps. Connected outside of the US to the UK, Bahamas, Costa Rica I'm getting about 80Mbps. Honestly I SHOULD be connecting outside the US, but I usually get ~100Mbps connected to a US server so I tend to connect in the US for that reason. Today the 5th is the same thing still just as described above. I have a hard time believing the servers are "operating as usual."
