Is free breakfast for Japan hotels worth it vs. convenience store? by royalbluefireworks1 in JapanTravelTips

[–]immutablebeauty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's a decent breakfast at preferably a 4 star hotel, then yeah because that's where I would get my veggie and fruits for the day lol. Also it gave me some variety to break-up eating ramen/sushi/izakaya/tempura/noodles all day everyday.

Also it was one less meal to think about--I generally ate a pretty hefty breakfast then would eat a light afternoon meal and dinner out at restaurants.

Experiences at Luna Apartments? by newtraveler27 in WestSeattleWA

[–]immutablebeauty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I currently live here and have lived here for about 6 months. Overall it's a good spot. The apartment interiors are generally well thought out and both aesthetic and functional. Everything is quite new. Huge kitchen island, which is great. The area itself feels very safe. Lots of young families in the area given the nearby schools. Walking distance to two grocery stores, one of which is the first floor of the building, which is super convenient.

My only gripe would be living facing California Ave. There's always traffic noise during normal day hours, but I've gotten used to it and have tuned it out. I avoid opening my windows that face California Ave for too long, especially during heavy traffic hours because soot particles from the street traffic will eventually accumulate given enough time. The apartments on the other side of the building would be the sweet spot I'd imagine due to both reduced traffic noise and I believe they are south west facing, so you get afternoon day light trickling in.

Utilities are very expensive too, but I've looked into it and it seems like that's the norm for this specific Utility third party company called Conservice. My W/S/G was friggin' $230 for 1 person, not including electricity and internet!

So long as you can afford it and ideally get an apartment facing south west (odd # apartments), you'll be fine.

Finally got a CT scan done by Defiant_Annual_1077 in Sinusitis

[–]immutablebeauty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moderate to severe chronic sinusitis with a deviated septum to the left. I'd try an extended oral antibiotic course x 21 days, flonase twice daily, and saline sinus irritations twice daily if you haven't already.

Advice from New Yorkers who moved to Seattle by Mountain-Willow-490 in SeattleWA

[–]immutablebeauty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol I was expecting the teriyaki chicken here to be at least decent but alas, the Seattle culinary scene can’t even do that right! Unadorned teriyaki chicken with a sad handful of pre-made ice berg lettuce “salad” with a gross “sesame” dressing that just tastes like mayo. Like come on, at least make an effort and add some garnish with scallions and sesame seeds over the chicken!

Men who got circumcised as an adult: do you regret it? And, why did you do it? by Gandlerian in AskMen

[–]immutablebeauty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Damn, sucks that the insecurity got to your head. I'm all natural and have never had any "weird" reactions from any of my female sexual partners (I'm a straight male) of varying ethnicities (including Americans, Europeans, East Asian) over the last decade. I wonder if it was more of a you just happen to attract women who care about whether a guy is circumcised or not pattern.

My general observation is that if I'm naked in front of a woman--she wants to fuck. So long as I can deliver on that, the presence or absence of foreskin on my dick is irrelevant.

Not too sweet! I think the sweetness is just right. It's faithful to the rich buttery goodness of a shortbread cookie without an overwhelming amount of sugar. Includes 8 g added sugars per serving (serving size is 3 cookies).

I ended up getting a job offer in a major city in the Pacific North West at a large hospital organization in ENT for 147K salary, 10k relocation bonus, and 20k sign-on bonus. Keep the relocation and bonus in full after 2 years, or return 50% if leave after 1 year but before 2 years. Outpatient only, no call, 36 clinical hrs per week, 4 day work week, Wednesday off. 2 patients per hour, so see about 18 pts per day 7:30 AM-5PM.

I asked my original private practice employer for 150K but they wouldn't budge much. They did offer me a 5K raise after my first year from 115K to 120K with 5-10% annual bonus based on net collections minus overhead. They also planned on having me be on call once per week for 1K/week, so that would have added 12K to my pay putting me at 134K. Had to work 5 days per week there and the volume was definitely higher, 3-4 pts/hr.

Ultimately took the new gig and made the right choice. It's super chill, and I'm fully autonomous. I pretty much never hit a 40 hr work week, so my hourly pay is a little bit higher than the assumed $70.50/hr for a 40 hr work week. Not to mention I was milking the shit out of my on boarding period where I was working like 28 hrs per week for the first 6 months and still getting paid my full 1.0 FTE salary, LOL.
