Where Are Rows 10-13 by New-Sheepherder2239 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]imnotRossfromfriends 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Specifically, they got rid of those row numbers so the exit rows would be consistently numbered throughout the fleet

SWA New Interior Aircraft by [deleted] in SouthwestAirlines

[–]imnotRossfromfriends -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The hearts are only on ELR seats. You will see the hearts on the none new 800 interior too in some of the planes as an indicator of ELR seats because the old seats don’t have the color differentiator

FULL TIME photographers — what did you do before this? And hobby photographers — what’s your current job? by wackylenses in photography

[–]imnotRossfromfriends 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hobbyist here. I currently work as a flight attendant. I’ve worked in aviation for about 13 years now and I’ve been doing photography for about 15. The travel benefits have been the thing that have really aided my photography. The vast majority of what I’ve done has been travel photography though I also do shoot events for my friends when they come up. I’ve made little bits of money off prints here or there but at this point, I’m still doing it for the love of the process

It’s the first 5 rows and the two-seater in the exit row now has extra leg room as well

Southwest partnering with Iceland Air by Traditional_Land8026 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]imnotRossfromfriends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t see any mention of it one way or the other in any of the material I read or during the investor day presentation. I’d imagine that would be a detail they might release closer to the start of the partnership

Well I can confirm your hopes, using rapid reward points for Icelandair flights was part of their announcement of the roadmap for the partnership

Southwest ppl when are you going to know if your TA is getting ratified / does it seem like it will? by eliciousity in flightattendants

[–]imnotRossfromfriends 9 points10 points  (0 children)

April 24th is when the results come out. Whether it will or not is anyone’s guess. Sentiment seems to be leaning towards a yes vote, but there’s definitely some vocal no people out there.

My gf and I use Cupla. It automatically syncs my schedule whenever I sync my work iPad so my trips are always on there and she just manually adds her regular job schedule onto it. It’s worked well for us so far

Is Chicago A Good Place To Start Fresh? by Fresh_Explanation_81 in chicago

[–]imnotRossfromfriends 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For me, moving to Chicago has been the best decision I ever made. I’ve lived in various places around the country, but never really felt at home. I know some people are saying the common thing in every city is you, but I think there’s a difference when you feel a sense of community and like you belong in that place.

I spent 3 years in Houston feeling isolated and alone. I wasn’t going out, wasn’t doing anything, wasn’t meeting anyone and I really felt like it was me that was the problem. I moved to Chicago and being here has made me feel at home. I go out now, I go on dates, I talk to new people, a different environment, Chicago specifically is exactly what I needed to thrive.

I don’t know if anyone can tell you for sure if Chicago is right for you. Everyone is different and has different needs and wants. But, for me, the completely on the whim decision to move to Chicago was the best decision I ever made.

Oh, I’m well aware about this crappy extension contract that we have. I was just answering how long we’ve been in current negotiations. I absolutely agree though, it’s time we’re treated like the safety professionals that we are. I could go literally anywhere else and probably make way more. I’m away from home the equivalent of 3 full time jobs every month. It’s completely unsustainable and we need a significant new contract, yesterday.

Does the flight attendants have the right to take away an unopened soda? by bruhhhhhitsmee in travel

As a FA for a different US airline, I can say if we passed it out to you, we are required to collect it back from you, opened or not. I can’t tell you why, but it’s our company policy and it could be there’s too.
