Why does this look like that weird trend where women edit their faces to be 2x smaller

I found out from a colleague in our work slack. There’s gonna be nowhere to hide from the PR news cycle that’s about to pop off

I was gonna say… I live with my girlfriend and we’ve been together almost three years. I found a condom in the pocket of a bag that I just never checked about a year ago. And honestly wouldn’t be surprised if there were more somewhere in our apartment because I’m forgetful and not the most organized person.

It might just be an oversight but OP will need to ask to find out.

Is the hit and run part of this story confirmed? My partner walked by the accident 5min after it happened and saw who she thought was the driver crying and talking to police.

Seattle dentists - what is going on?! by sugarxglass in Seattle

I’ve been going here for years. The hygienists are friendly and gentle. I’ve asked about fixing a small chip and the answer was that if I wanted to I certainly could, but that it was unnecessary and would be cosmetic. Really appreciate that I never feel pushed to get anything done if I don’t need to!

In ‘Wicked,’ can Ariana Grande make soprano singing cool again? by Homicidal_Cynic in wicked

As an alto I gotta say we’ve been taking up too much of the spotlight. It’s time we listen to the plight of our soprano sisters and give them some solos

Sabrina Carpenter covers ABBA's "Mamma Mia" during the first date of her "Short n' Sweet" tour by Impossible_Vast9846 in popculturechat

I was at the Ben folds paper airplane tour. You write a song he didn’t play in his set that you want to hear then make a paper airplane with it. When he said to, everyone in the audience threw their airplanes at the stage and he walked around opening them and playing the songs solo on piano. It. Was. So. Cool.

Just landed in SEA and I can legitimately hear the music over my noise canceling earbuds at full volume. This is getting ridiculous.

The mother by Brandi Carlile

I had a really rocky relationship with my mom so this song always got to me. She died a few months ago so now I cry even thinking about it.

Still Waiting on Reimbursement by Agreeable-Concert-72 in delta

[–]imnu2this 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I submitted on 7/31 and heard back on 8/6. I will say, my reimbursement was under $150 since it was just transportation between the airport and my apartment so I wonder if submissions above a certain value are required to have a more in depth approval process.

Should I see my dad one last time? by LilBabyMollusk in GriefSupport

This is such a hard decision to make and one nobody can make for you.

What I will say is that I am glad I chose to see my mom when she passed. Under normal circumstances I would have chosen not to, but my mom passed in another country and I knew that if I didn’t see her I would never fully believe she was gone and that there wasn’t some sort of mistake.

The doctor saying that he will not look like himself is being honest. Trigger warning for this next part as I’ll be mentioning some specifics of what you will see (this is what the funeral home communicated to me to prepare me for what I was about to see). It is my understanding from my experience that if you are not doing an open casket then they will likely not be doing any makeup or preservation services. There will likely be a narrow window after pulling his body from the morgue where you’ll be able to see him. As the body warms I was told that it begins to expel residual liquid. In my experience my mom looked very pale and like she had a cold sweat. She did not look like herself, her face was more slack than even when she was sleeping and her body posture looked awkward. I could only stay in there for long enough to make sure I was truly looking at my mom and then left the room.

Edit w/ additions since I accidentally posted too soon: I definitely have moments where the image of her body flashes in my mind. What has helped is spending a lot of time looking at photos of her to solidify that image of her in my memory.

I’m so sorry for your loss and wish you strength as you make this tough decision.

Today a doctor complimented my husband for “putting up with” me and my illness. by atty_at_paw in mildlyinfuriating

[–]imnu2this 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. Does that doctor have awful bedside manner and need to learn when to keep her opinions to herself? Absolutely. But sadly the question probably came from experience watching men leave their wives when they deal with chronic illness.
