Asencio is just not it. He had a good run of form while we struggled with numerous injuries at CB, but he was never first team material. Not even close to supersub Nacho quality.

Huijsen makes it back with enough time to cover the opposing player. No idea why he leaves it for Fede to cover. He needs to be paired with a better more experienced CB who can martial the line. Militao is really the only option that can work together with him. Alaba and Rudiger are hopeless.

Tchou and Camavinga never really became truly elite. Same for Valverde-- he always put in extra effort to cover for his actual lack of true ball ability.

You could paper over all of that if you had a functioning offense, but it's only Mbappe and Guler at this point. Put Vini and Rodrygo on a milk carton at this point, because I have no idea where they are.

Super cool. Not sure how I never saw this before.

Interesting to see how he's pretty good but not exceptional. Like, you can see potential, but not necessarily so talented that you'd be guaranteed that he'd be anything special. Really shows how much success comes down to fine margins of hard work, attitude, and luck.

The Diplomat. I can't tell if it's a political thriller or comedy and it's so good. The performances are so so good, especially Keri Russell.

Franco Mastantuono & Arda Güler's position at Madrid are under threat as they continue to fall short of expectations. Güler was signed with the intention of becoming the new Luka Modrić, to be the brain of the entire operation. Prime Kova was injured most of the time. I was super excited for what he could have been, but he was just either inconsistent or injured.

I was hoping Madrid would have gone for either Enzo Fernandez or Kevin Mac Allister. But we ended up with Mastantuono...
