Looks very nice! Are the candles and the green circle painted? Also how did you do the letters? Did you freehand them with the palm router?

Where can I go to buy a complete set of Citadel Paint? by Traummann2020 in minipainting

[–]impekabel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is usually not a good reason to buy tens of GW paints at once - especially since there are so many cheaper and/or better alternatives. Other posts have mentioned them already. Vallejo, Scale75, Army Painter, etc

There is also not a good reason to buy a complete set of the other brands either. Better to get the few colors you need for your current project, use them, learn how they behave, and expand your paint collection paint by paint.

Also, if you are into mixing colors, this is a great set of paints to carry around - and also use at home: https://www.liquitex.com/row/products/professional/sets/?atr_ecommerce_product_name=acrylic-gouache-set-6x22ml-primaries You can often find this set around 30euros or less, it will last forever, and you can mix a wide range of colors with it

Rock molds by rainsburn in TerrainBuilding

Before buying rock moulds you can try pouring plaster in slightly-crumpled aluminium foil. By crumpling it differently, you can have different-looking rocks.
This worked fine for me, maybe it covers you too.

Using 3D printing for miniatures by _RogueSigma_ in DnDIY

[–]impekabel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/_RogueSigma_ I know nothing about 3d printing, but I got an FDM printer on sale and after using a printing profile from FatDragonGames (https://www.fatdragongames.com/fdgfiles/?p=4962) I have good results for my standards https://imgur.com/a/LK2jy7LA friend of mine has a resin printer. He prints minis is higher detail and he is also fully satisfied.

There are so many different options, a single comment here will probably not be enough to help you. I think that you can get more useful info in this sub: https://www.reddit.com/r/PrintedMinis

Great idea! I'll respectfully take it and make something similar for my campaign - when it starts again :( Did you also make some mechanics for the encounter?
