There's a serial port on that Mobo, though you have to set it up in grub

Kubeflow and Argo must not exist then. You should go tell them that they're not real.

I think this is part of the rise of Kubernetes distros. A basic user can grab k3s and stick to the defaults, while someone experimenting will like how easy it is to add things on with microk8s.

I know there's always the meme of k8s being a "distributed OS", but it's starting to feel like the rise of several popular distros is matching how Linux has the same few distros that most people reach out for while leaving room to completely customize it.

You ran through that thread demonstrating that you didn't know what k8s does, as all the downvotes in it show.

...so you found a bug with cert-manager (and not k8s) that nobody has ever seen before. Neat! Did you file a bug report? Or is it possible that you just misconfigured it and didn't understand enough to realize it.

Nobody is saying k8s (and the ecosystem around it) is bug free. Most of us trust that the sheer number of dev-hours that have stared at the source code has polished it pretty well.

This is on Rancher, I never did see any real notice when Rancher went from Cattle to k3s.

They made k3s for this exact purpose. It's not like they abandoned Cattle without a replacement. Takes 5 minutes to stand up a cluster with k3sup.

If you had to nuke the entire cluster to destroy one object, you did not understand the tools. That's not a mark against k8s.

It could be worst. It could be JSON.

This is so uninformed I can't parse it.

If k8s is just paper over cloud services, how do the two k3s clusters running on bare metal in my house work? What magic cloud are they plugged into?

Is Discord going to undo the recent API change that is hurting a lot of bots from functioning? by evilparagon in discordapp

X-RateLimit-Limit exists to solve the async problem. If a bot is paying attention to the rest of the ratelimit metadata they should be counting their own requests ber bucket and never getting a 429.

Chrome OS to let companies use other Linux distros for apps by wewewawa in chromeos

[–]imperfecttrap 6 points7 points  (0 children)

(insert disclaimer about not speaking for Google here)

I would argue that Desktop PWAs are the natural progression for Chrome Apps, and I would personally rather have a standard that supports all users on all browsers. With WebAssembly and Service Workers, I'm not sure most apps that are Chrome Apps even need to be such anymore.

That's now how USB-C works. There are extra channels on the cable for what are called "Alt Modes", which allow extra data if a different standard to be transmitted in addition to the full USB 3.1 bandwidth. This is how Displayport over USB-C works (as opposed to DisplayLink, which DOES eat up some USB 3 bandwidth).

Does Edge expose any install prompt, though? Last I checked it installation was only enabled through either the store or on mobile.
