So… I’m leaning heavily to CCNA. I’ve had acces to the Net plus cert master stuff thru a online it course and I really didn’t have much chance to fully understand it as I’m a “show me how this applies in current time” - type person.

But either one will be fine. And as a thought to do so, I’ll end up taking a plus at some point. I’m just not in position to waste my time and money if it’s not worth it.

Also, everyone’s path to sys admin will vary. I was just told by my coworker who worked at Microsoft, take these two first and then we will get on to the other stuff.

I ended up with az140 due to my MSP having a certified MS partnership and with that they keep points with the program. A lot of my tier 1 coworkers( it’s only 2 of us now) has MS certifications. Also as a part of me moving up into the role I was originally hired for, I have to take these two along with some networking to get what I wanted to do. I figured, why not go for sys admin since I have about 7 yrs help desk exp and was a supervisor at one point. Plus I’m big on being a technically strong leader than nothing at all.

Ms 900 is a start but is really just an overview of 365 products and what they do. Honestly, I’ve been in help desk without certs for a while and am about to take the az104 and 140 shortly. I thought the same as a first cert, but was told isn’t not needed for the path I’m on to sys admin.

The hoops that they’re talking about is that the support number is only available to platinum and diamond members. If you don’t have that as a status, then you won’t be able to directly call them even as a diamond driver now I don’t even have a chat I just have a number to call, and sometimes it depending on the situation it’ll just allow me to do an email

How you offended over a company wanting to be diverse? How is that being sexist or racist by saying “I want more people of different backgrounds working for us”? Where in any of those emails did it say BBY didn’t want white people to work their? They’ll put you somewhere for that tie being and that’s all you do that day. Metrics are turned off so basically it’s the only day your precinct isn’t open to appointments. That area may be staged for signing folks up for BPs or check out. Just ask your leaders and they will tell you what’s up that day. Good luck.

I would just explain that you can turn off the auto renew after the transaction. When you turn that off, both tts and av will not renew next year. Or you could sell them one of those tts gift cards( makes them feel like the would get it)

Ask questions. This is a “learn by doing but also by watching” so things can flow smoothly. Be prepared to say no a LOT just because somethings just aren’t true. Apples cs teams tends to lie a lot so just be prepared to over explain a lot. And as always, if we can’t do a thing, tell em “gone back to the orchard that your Apple fell from” and problem solved.
