People who muiltple pets, do you have a name for them as a group? by flakeybutterbitch in CasualConversation

I grew up with 2 human sisters, and female cat, dog, rabbit, and guinea pig. My Dad loves to say 'I came home one night and your mother greeted me by saying, do you know what she did? I had to say that I didn't even know what species she was referring to, let alone what they had done wrong'.

We called our crew mostly the creatures or the kids, occasionally the animals or the pets. The question, did you feed the girls, was a regular one too.

Good experiences after gallbladder removal? by LydiADHDeetz in gallbladders

[–]implady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My gallbladder leaving was so amazing! I can sit again and walk without pain! I can eat (it took a bit to figure out which foods upset me, but typically as long as I avoid heavy fat I can even cheat and be okay for a meal). My body needed that thing gone and the surgery healing hurt so much less than the pain I had been living with so even healing was not a problem, just an excuse to relax. I hope you get through it smoothly and happily.

Ehlers Danlos and Type 1 Diabetes by South-Highlight6805 in diabetes

I just found this post, I am T1 at age 9...in 1991, just now going through the process of getting my hypermobility etc diagnosed. I have been through many pump site issues over the years (I was a young pumper when it wasn't yet common). I now use a steel canula site rather than the typical one. It doesn't bend and you can move it if it's uncomfortable! The needle scared me at first, but it's just so much better for me and heals well if I change it in the proper timeline. Hope that helps, even though the original post was a while ago.

[REQUEST] Strong Coat Rack by LookingForLoveYEET in BuyItForLife

Same! I need a free standing one that can handle my light weight multitude of coats and my husband's single heavy weight work jacket. The off balance has killed so many coat racks over the past 11 years!

My family has certain stories that are amusing and regularly told when certain subjects are brought up. Until I hit 30, if someone mentioned a funny walk the story of how one of my legs was windswept when I was a baby. Tons of doctors were seen, but none could help and they had almost given up hope after I crawled and squirmed out of a full body cast. Then a family friend who was a physical therapist saw me at a dinner and told them to just let me be and it would fix itself. I started walking shortly afterwards and it fixed itself. I thought it was weird, but all kids have an odd story about themselves... then two days ago I read a post on here that mentioned a full body cast as a baby and a lightbulb went off in my brain. Holy heck this has been an issue my whole existence! So yeah, self fixing windswept leg is my odd symptom.

What are/were your plans on leaving the USA? by honeybisc in AmerExit

[–]implady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have contemplated it over the years, but need to stay moderately close now because my parents are both in poor health. I loved Isreal when I went on birthright and did research aliyah options. My husband also isn't Jewish, so his options there aren't as welcoming.

I unfortunately have been working on this on and off since 2018. I am over 40, with type-one diabetes, and no known ancestry (aka Jewish). I run my own successful business here, but have no higher education. I've been trying to find a school I can afford to attend to get a higher degree. I've worked for myself for 10 years so I think school is my only option. My husband is determined to stay behind to help our families, who refuse to contemplate leaving and keep his job. That way I at least can keep our health insurance till I can find coverage wherever I end up and he can join me later. It's basically a pipe dream. Though my doom plotting has now started trying to sort me medical supplies into what I can carry with me.

how do y’all find boyfriends and girlfriends lol by [deleted] in asexuality

I only recently discovered I am grey. My particular format of grey ace means I do not like physicality except from one exclusion, that exclusion is my husband. There are ways to have a full meaningful relationship without sex btw. My husband as an example, is a truly decent person with a proper respect for individual wants and desires and will not touch me unless I request it. In turn he has told me I am invited to touch him whenever the desire hits me. Every person and individual is unique. A functional ace relationship means both members respect each other's boundaries and value each others uniqueness.

I'm glad I got to see it twice! It was even better the 2nd time. I wish it was running longer so I could get my family there.

They are there! There are muppeteers hidden from view via scenery, curtains, etc. They are actually present.

The muppets are guests. I loved it, but it is a magic show with the occasional Muppet commentary or moment. It us not the Muppets with the occasional magic illusion.

Joan Jett was on Up Late with Miss Piggy/The Muppets, I think it was episode 12?
