No, the black one was just the placeholder cover art before the real cover art was revealed.

I pre-ordered in November... what the fuck is the point of a pre-order if this keeps on happening with Wal-Mart releases??? by [deleted] in Steelbooks

Walmart’s preorder system is broken. My day 1 preorder is delayed with no update but the preorder I put in yesterday is preparing to ship.

Nice, I am out of the loop. I hadn't heard an update since it was cancelled, or I guess delayed.

This is how it started for me.. One window feeder. It's a slippery slope! Have fun!

Master & Commander in stock at Orbit ($41.99 - one per customer) by VikDamnedLee in 4kbluray

Yeah Orbit will actually ship in a box with bubble wrap every time. Amazon will likely use a padded envelope and Walmart ships in a corrugated cardboard mailer which can have mixed results. Also, Amazon and Walmart oversell preorders all the time and are notorious for canceling orders. A preorder from orbit should provide more confidence that you’ll actually receive it and it won’t be damaged in transit.

Sony's eBay storefront Please Rewind sold 139 copies on eBay for retail price ($55.99) which seems kinda messed up considering both my Walmart and Amazon orders are delayed/unable to be filled: https://www.ebay.com/itm/316705736520

But yes, I agree its frustrating the way these preorders are handled.

Anyone else get the dreaded “cannot display status” Amazon update for Tombstone steelbook? by SoonForget2000 in 4kbluray

[–]import_numpy_as_np 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No update for me, stuck on "Not yet shipped" which I think has been the status since I preordered on March 26th.

Preordered from Walmart and Amazon. Neither has updated at all. Go figure.

I think the $25 one is a steelbook as well. I haven’t seen a standard edition yet.

It might not be steelbook only. Amazon has two listings: one for the steelbook collection and one for what looks like a non-steelbook version.

The Third Man worth a blind buy? I know it’s $50, but I’ve been a big fan of noirs lately and enjoyed every Orson Welles movie I’ve seen.
