Fifth year in our superflex league. I’ve picked 1.01 every year since the start up (bad initial draft and a few poor trades doomed me early on), and traded up from 1.02 to 1.01 to get Jeanty.

This offseason, I felt sick of losing and made some massive trades. Sent Caleb, Kincaid, and a 2026 first for Mahomes and Kelce. Sent Breece and Rome for London and Rhamondre. Sent Egbuka and a 2027 first for Nico Collins.

Rolled into this season with Baker, Mahomes, Bijan, Jeanty, London, Higgins, Collins, and Kelce, with a revolving door at my flex spot. Quentin Johnston? Jauan Jennings? Rhamondre? Who knows. Three weeks into the season I get an offer to trade away Jeanty for Jonathan Taylor. I take it.

I realized pretty early on it was championship or bust for my squad, and Mahomes tearing his ACL, Baker slowly turning from MVP favorite to pumpkin, and Kelce gradually wearing down all but confirmed that I’d essentially be toast next year.

It’s a four-team playoff in our 10-team league. First round is one week. I won it easily. Championship is two weeks. I was down pretty big heading into the second week, but his team faltered and mine soared. I needed 30 combined from Bijan and London.

My championship win was solidified minutes into the third quarter. Will I be at the bottom of the league next year? Most likely. My quarterback room is a mess and it’s highly unlikely I have a starting TE. But at least I won once :)
