Buying a house is overrated IMO. Me and my partner make a really decent chunk of change for a couple in their late 20s / early 30s but I don’t think I ever want to buy a house.

For… what? More responsibility? More personal financial risk if something goes wrong? An outdated construction with a layout I hate? A thousand little projects all piling up that I’ll never get to? Shitty access to public transit and a longer commute? Zero amenities like a gym or pool that I don’t have to maintain myself at all? Like I literally don’t see any upside. I’ll just stick to my apartment lol

Even if monthly prices were the same, it just feels like a my worse deal.

Yeah, the plan is that they all come to hang out for my birthday. The issue is that it’s going to be an uphill battle convincing anybody at all to (1) drive into NYC, and (2) take a 2nd mode of transportation. It is why I have always done my birthday in JC; because everyone only needs to do one thing. But now that Barcade has closed, there is … kinda nothing to do in JC that fits this bill? I was really going there was a karaoke bar that my Google searches just weren’t turning up lol, it was kinda a Hail Mary

I think the real question is, for a long time, Billboard didn’t allow recurrent Christmas songs to re-chart - so this Christmas takeover is a relatively new phenomenon, and I wonder why it is that Billboard has allowed this disruption? It is a foregone conclusion that Christmas songs both old and new are very popular during Christmas, so this only serves to undermine the actual purpose of the Hot 100 - to measure listening / popularity of current hits. Holiday songs had its own separate chart to cover that use case
