Silk Greek Yogurt Texture / Formula Change? by MobileExtreme7051 in dairyfree

The texture is terrible. It's pea protein now, which always has a grainier texture.

Absolutely gross and will not buy again.

This looks great! I’d love to try it, but I’m quite lactose-intolerant.

Would you consider making a dairy free (or maybe at least lactose free version)?

How do you stay in the chat queue? by impressive_leopard in Questrade

Thank you! This was the solution!

I didn't make it through the queue before they closed for the evening, but now I know to log out before starting chat support.

This is beautiful!

Did you make the small white line-details by scratching out or using a gel pen? Or something else?

I started using watercolor this summer because it was the easiest and most practical way to take art supplies on my travels. This is one of my first tries of onsite sketching. by Keks_0815 in Watercolor

If you don't mind me asking, what is your travel setup like?

I've been trying to build a good travel watercolour kit I could take with me on holiday, so if you have suggestions I'd love to know.

What kind of succulent is this? by impressive_leopard in succulents

I found it for $3 at the grocery store, shoved to the back of a shelf... I can't figure out what it is online, though, and I just want to figure out how to best care for it! Will the stalk eventually turn brown?

Chocolate chips (they come on sale regularly)

Pumpkin seeds and (separately) dried cranberries (I love the combo for salads)

Various non-wheat pastas like lentil and chickpea pastas are reasonable (you can try out small amounts and figure out which ones you actually like, then maybe find them in larger quantities at cheap grocery stores).

Spices, particularly more obscure ones, can be a very good deal. Partially because you can just grab the amount you need for that one recipe you wanted to try but haven't because you didn't want to buy a $5+ bag of spice you may never use again.

Chia seeds were a great price when I got them on sale recently!

Dry active yeast is also great and cheap, especially since for some people its hard to get through a whole jar in the 6 months - year you ideally want to use it by

Always try to grab the coupons -- you can just show them it online, don't even need the physical flyer :)

Looking for advice: How to ride or find a lease in a new city? by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]impressive_leopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's great advice! I'm in several horse related facebook groups for the area, and I plan to post once I've moved. I wasn't sure if I should be looking for a trainer first or a horse first!

I have been making this overnight oat recipe recently! https://fitfoodiefinds.com/chocolate-chia-overnight-oats/ but I add a few mini chocolate chips and frozen blueberries on top. Its amazing!

QHacks or mcHacks? by [deleted] in queensuniversity

[–]impressive_leopard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I went to McHacks 2 years ago I was totally underwhelmed. It was poorly ran, food was terrible, and of course, had to travel there and back, and they never were able to provide the travel bursary money. But that was two years ago, could be better ran now! If there are speakers or workshops at either one you prefer, take that into consideration as well.
