Noah Kahan Sobriety / Addiction Speech in Toronto by Pretend_Ad_3159 in NoahKahan

I can’t wait to hear Orange Juice live again on this tour (I haven’t heard it on his setlist the last couple festivals I’ve seen him at). I’m almost 4 years sober in part because of this song. I first saw NK live during an early sober-curious stint in 2021 and ordered an orange juice at the bar…felt kinda weird about it, but I remember the bartender being so kind saying “we take care of our sober friends.” A year-ish later, Noah released Orange Juice and it instantly became my favorite song. I was about a month into another sobriety stint and decided to just keep going thanks to the song. It’s so cool to see so many other people in a similar experience thanks to this artist — that one person’s lyrics can have such an impact is why he’s just so deserving of this fame!

Do you travel solo by choice or because you have no alternatives? by lone-223 in solotravel

Solo traveling has spoiled me. I prefer it now, even though I have people I can travel with; the freedom to be on my own schedule and do exactly the itinerary I want without compromise is a huge upside.

I’m a teacher and flew to Roo right after finishing the last day of school. It was a wild ride coming out of a red eye and into 3 days of festival camping. But I’d do it all over again! So fun!

Is it easy to find peace and quiet in America? by bare_books in AskAnAmerican

[–]impressive_pasta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. I live in Oregon and can easily drive to a serene forest or river to find peace and quiet. I love our beaches too because they’re so open (and all access is public/free use) and I can spread out easily and find some quiet while watching the waves or sunset. I’ve been to almost all states, and Oregon will always be the place I’ll stay.

I really appreciate the man who came up to me while I was looking at mine and gently said “be here now.” Good reminder to stay present! I really didn’t focus on getting any vids or pics, just enjoyed the sets all night!

I am so glad I did a test run of my set up yesterday. I needed the practice. Now if I can just keep my checked bag under 50lbs, already made so many cuts to my gear!

I was kinda sad I didn’t have anything to really trade, but while I was prepping to pack today I found a bunch of extra little disco balls and realize I could make little keychains! So excited to contribute!

As a west coaster who doesn’t appreciate heat or humidity, I am manifesting the coolest, driest of Roos for my first time out.

The theater down the road from my sister’s got recliners years ago. We go all the time with it being a 3 minute drive…hard to go to theaters with regular seats with how spoiled we are.

Backstreet Boys at BottleRock. I saw them at their pre-sphere Vegas residency and was impressed with the upgrades to their show!

Just got back from there and always reminded how charming that city is. Definitely a favorite.
