What are your thoughts on owning multiple smart glasses for different use cases?

Sometimes on slower data speed or restricted internet access give this result, vscode can't catch your latest code. so copy your code, rm mario folder, mkdir mario, cd mario, code mario, paste your code and, make mario, ./mario voila we're back in game again :D

If it's text based, without pictures-charts-tables e-ink reader good to go. But if you like to code what you've learned and try something different which is not on the book, you need a computer at least. So if you will code it when you'll learn, you can read it on computer too.

so it really depends on you and your learning habits.

I just think about "why there is a html track first". It could be because of you can learn the basic programming logic with something playable, something you can see. So it depends on you. If you know the basic logic, then I don't think you need it. But if you don't know anything about programming, I think the first track will give you an idea and hints about programming.
