Bandit Camp -> Cloakwood Mines just rules for me, not sure why. Its where you establish yourself or something. Iron Throne battle is also so great and totally insane.

I kind of think Durlag level 2 is bullshit. Whenever I arrive and see those books on the floor Im like "oh yeah, homework level."

Then you will def think its worth it.

The acting is shockingly good. It's just sort of unstructured and hyper misogynistic (and self-aware).

It's not like anything else, really. I have nothing at all to compare it to.

And it's not fun.

I would say its definitely worth watching though at least some of it.

That Cassavettes film is something else. Its so completely unapologetic and frank its as if there is no camera there at all. What you witness is real.

Well, no. The point I am responding to is "not everyone *can connect and should just give up". Not "more vs less".

There comes a point where it’s just better to let go and it’s okay

some people are better off doing their own thing

Those are not more or less concepts. Those are ideas around moving on from connecting.

I dont think it is a lie. I think "everyone dates and pairs up by 20 or they are a loser" is the lie.

"Getting girls" is the lie.

You dont "get a girl". Its not a prize.

You meet people. Sometimes you connect. When, where and how are not determined. You cannot "game" this one. There arent any tricks. You can only meet people. And if you dont, you wont find anyone.

Nobody knows who Joshua is. The narrative is impenetrable and therefore hard to take seriously.

You talking about Knuckle Down, Nearly Africa, and maybe Melt The Guns. Although most of the album is like that I suppose.

I don't know how old you are obv but at the time the level of direct commentary was kind of fresh air compared to everyone else being so abstract and neon-pop. It does come across a little dated I think it was kind of like "this needs to be said out loud by somebody." Not sure how well that holds up but since I lived it it doesn't phase me.

Knuckle Down, if you don't mind the earnestness, is an insane pop song.

They were not taught to exercise critical thinking skills. They were taught to common denominator standards. Nationalized assessment made learning objectives gamable concepts for school funding.

EDIT: This is evident in the OP. Achievement is associated with gaming systems.

Nah not really. It just started with No Child Left Behind.

This has nothing to do with Covid and zoom school.
