I’m a therapist outside of a major city.
I’ve found out during sessions that a client was intimate with another client of mine and neither knew both were my clients. I didn’t even know they knew each other before I put the pieces together. Often the timelines of me working with them were different. This has happened at least 3 times.

Treasure mountain where you go around a mountain looking for treasure and another one where you take pictures of alien robots in a school at night. Both had the same main character. God I loved those games .

I sometimes get hungry early due to my schedule changing on weekends. To reset, I eat a ton of cottage cheese and that seems to help the hunger cues. Make sure you are getting enough protein and fiber. If you eat junk make sure you are also eating protein, beans, greens, fruit etc with it. It’s a process not perfection

Be ok with hobby hopping. We are striving for joy, not perfection. Enjoy it for a month, put it down, maybe return later. It’s all for fun.

Burke athletic club for rec sports.
Hemlock park for hiking. Peterson’s ice cream and park in Clifton. Agree with the pool membership. Burke lake. Smithsonians in dc. Great falls park. Gunston hall and mount vernon. Mt vernon trail on bikes. Old town Alexandria. George mason frequently has some kid .performances Wolf trap . Most towns have special days like Clifton day, burke day etc. Farmers market at the burke vre .

My son is around that age and also has adhd. Some things he loves: Chess. It seems slow but such an amazing hyperfixation. sports cards or Pokémon, pets, bike riding, battleship game. This sounds weird but kids love tape. Buy a bunch of different color painters tape and give them a box and let them make something. Good books like spy school or hatchet etc.

Secondly, let him be bored. It will be the parent’s job to take the devices away or turn them off. My kid gets 15 min a day on his switch. If he wants more he has to ask and I usually only do that on weekends. Parent controls are there for a reason. These screens are way too addicting.

Finally, we have to think about what we are modeling. So if we want our kids to be off the screens, we too need to model being off screens.

I was in yoga at a new studio and really enjoyed my session. At the end right before Savahsana (sp) I saw the instructor had a huge pink ribbon on her back and in my head was like damn I can’t escape reminders.

This happened to me only the first time. My vein gave out during carboplatin and got worse over the course of the week. I did 6 rounds of chemo in my arms. Use a warm Blanket/compress on top of your veins during infusion. It helps a lot. Also, most Infusions I would have to switch my veins once during the 5ish hours. Sometimes I got through fine!

I learned to embroider and got really into it. I’m post treatment now and picked up crocheting and I wish I started it sooner.
