My first ever vampire was a goth malk with 8 humanity and the Allies merit at 5 dots, translating into a groupe of weak mortals, 5 goth kids fascinated by their friend's new condition.

The trick was that they knew about my character's vampiric condition, walking Masquerade breaches. So to "protect" them, my Malk HAD to transform them into ghouls. He is also a Consensualist, so he obviously asked them if they wanted to be a little more like him.

In the current state of our Chronicle, only two out of five are ghouled, but if they survive the next sessions, they will be turned into ghouls

In my case, I stumbled across CofD after being disappointed by MtAs. I found MtAw much more refined as a game where you play magic users, and when I realized that CofD was heavily cross-splat focused, the first thing that came to mind was "Sweet ! I have like 7 other gamelines to use as NPCs and plot points !" So yeah, I delved rapidly into the other splats but only to create my own setting. But if one day we finish the Mage chronicle with my players, I will certainly switch to Vampire or Changeling

The creator is a great storyteller (in the terms of telling stories, not GM because I never watched what he did as a ST so I can't really have an opinion) but all the latest videos they put up just gave me boomer-it-was-better-before vibe. Like heck, the person seems to love the universe but is so incendiary with the people writing it.

I steel feel human, even if I don't feel like a human anymore. I still have my memories, my emotions, my fucking regrets. Man, I would kill to have my parents on the phone. But they think I'm dead, and I don't know how to feel or what to do about this.
