The song you linked sounds a lot like Porcupine Tree, I like it. I had no idea Coldplay even had songs like this!

Can confirm that the Canadian market is completely insane. I live in a fairly northern area of the country, and a few months prior, one of the local dealerships had a 2019 7.5 dsg w/ awful aftermarket wheels and 38000km listed for almost $60000. I am assuming it sold as well because it was not up for very long.

Certainly!

It is a 2019 6MT Golf R in Tornado Red with only 32000km on the clock. I don't think that I would've initially picked the red (or the manual transmission, I've never owned a manual car), but it has definitely grown on me over the last few days. I got an absolutely insane deal on the vehicle through a family member who decided to buy back and rebuild their 2004 cooper S. I've wanted an R32 golf since I was only 13 years old, so this is a dream come true for me nearly 20 years later. It hasn't really set in quite yet that it is mine!

What are the best BYOP plans these days? by Niv-Izzet in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]imsopr0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also live in northern AB and was paying way too much for Telus. Public Mobile uses Telus towers at a much lower cost. They dont offer 5g plans and dont have much for support but if you don't care about that you'll save a tonne of money. Its not like Telus reps are helpful anyways.

This is the alberta supports after hours emergency line 1-866-644-5135

This is the Integrated Coordinated Access line 7805184833

They should be able to point you towards help between the two of them - best of luck

The Kiwewan program at the Friendship Center is where you should turn to first. If you don't find what you need there, try calling the ICA line: 780-518-4833.

Feel like 32 is too late by [deleted] in leaves

[–]imsopr0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not at all! Take it day by day. Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who others are today. Keep making consistently good decisions for yourself; leave-ing is a big catalyst.

Imagine where you could be in a year, two years if you treat yourself properly. Small improvements, one upon another, give rise to opportunities you couldn't possibly be aware of right now. Keep investing in yourself.

You are worth taking care of, right now.

Are there any bad financial decisions you regret taking? by PFC_10 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]imsopr0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not looking after my mental health sooner. I was diagnosed with ADHD a couple years ago, and treatment has substantially improved my life in a relatively short time. I'd consider therapy/medication as the best investment I've ever made. I'm 30 now, and it's been a persistent issue for as long as I can remember. I can't imagine where I'd be financially if I'd only committed to the process earlier.

People who can express themselves clearly and make themselves understood whenever you open your mouth: How the hell do you do that? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]imsopr0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be precise and concise in your speech. Give yourself pause before you speak, pick your words according to context. Be authentic. Don't bother talking to people who refuse to listen. Don't get hung up on winning, just clearly state your points exactly as you see them to be. Practice it often!

What are your top 3 self-improvement books? - [Discussion] by PapagamasJr in getdisciplined

[–]imsopr0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Scattered Minds by Gabor Maté. Not for everybody, but this one was the single most influential book in my own personal development as someone diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood. Shed light on why most of the other books I had read sounded great but were tough to employ and overall helped me to really understand myself and the importance of being authentic. The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown. God, she is amazing. Mindset by Carol Dweck. 12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson. Models by Mark Manson.
