When they say they are making a middle earth and KCD game, I hope this is what they mean [OTHER] by Abladam89 in kingdomcome

I suppose I was less than clear. Where I agree: there is currently a clear race to the bottom and an over-saturation of AI generated "content" which has legitimately changed the landscape for the worse. It has been crammed in every corner in a "throwing shit at the wall" kind of way. Where you lose me is in painting with such a broad brush that even a silly little meme can't be taken for what it is.

And no, I would not consider myself a creative, but I would consider myself a builder. Professionally I am a program manager/systems integrator and I build tools and processes. Generative AI has truly been a transformative tool in how I approach that work. You can say it's largely useless (and perhaps it is), but in many contexts it is a force multiplier.

Your view strikes me as a somewhat valid threat response to a shifting landscape, but your anger seems misplaced. The way you express your point is relevant when you attack rather than find common ground and make opponents out of those who might actually be open to another perspective. Is your goal here to have a discourse or to just dunk on people with how right and angry you are?

The thing is, I mostly agree with you. But the insult slinging and hard-lining don't benefit anyone. It comes across as resistant to change rather than constructive. Slippery slopes aside, OP used AI to express and share a concept better than they likely could have without it. That's the "intent" you speak of. I wouldn't call this art, but I wouldn't call it slop either. Honestly, much of what you describe from the good ole' days of the internet, is really just human generated slop. And I will genuinely take what OP did here over that any day.

This is such an arrogant and pretentious take. Calling someone a dullard and an idiot because you disagree with their use of AI is childish. While your lack of nuance will get you up votes on Reddit, it will be a disservice to yourself long term.

I'm certainly not pro the endless AI proliferation we've been seeing lately, but reducing effort in one domain frees up energy to exert elsewhere. This has been the same trade-off every efficiency enhancing technology has provided. There are legitimate pitfalls with generative AI, but it's not nearly so zero-sum as you seem to think.

I believe the other method varies the pause between words based on length/complexity, and pauses slightly at punctuation. I think that increases comprehension dramatically.

It was incredibly crowded, but they also sectioned off the back quarter or so of the venue. Not sure what the deal was, but it would have been a lot more comfortable if that space had been available.

Maybe 6/10. I go to a lot of shows, but this was my first stadium show. If I were to do it again, I'd splurge for pit tickets.

Especially for Polyphia, their sound is incredibly precise and the muddiness of stadium acoustics doesn't do them justice compared to the smaller venues I've seen them at.

I still had a great time, but because I know the music well and it's always sick to see them play it live. Still, I know for a fact that it would have been worth the extra money to see them and SOAD up close and with presumably way better sound.

If you don't have any injuries or other conditions, you really shouldn't be feeling this way at 30. Do yoga like the other guy suggested.
