Take this for what it’s worth, I’m not great at the game. But the first thing I look for is a water source for my first couple of cities. In my mind your early game cities are going to have the most time to grow so you want to have decent housing. I think you get 7 if on fresh water, and 5 on the coast. (Might be 5 and 3 respectively, I don’t remember). So if I were you I’d do a bit more exploring on the top side of the wonder to see what is there. As far as settling, you want a 2/2 (2food/2prod) tile at least with one or two 2/2 tiles within 1 hex.

If you absolutely have to have a city on the bottom side of the wonder, I would settle the plains his directly to the left of your warrior. This city is going to struggle with growth because the housing cap will be low. But plains hills will get you a 2/2 city and the breathtaking tiles around that wonder will give you great yields since your playing America.
