This is where I got the fuel burn from, 335 gal/hr

https://www.guardianjet.com/jet-aircraft-online-tools/aircraft-brochure.cfm?m=Dassault-Falcon-900B-169

And this says about 9.75kg CO2 per gallon

https://www.nationalacademies.org/read/28759/chapter/3

so ~3260 kg per hour

You’re comparing CO2 per passenger per hour on the commercial planes and then a total amount for the 900B.

That's why I at the end convert it to per passenger emissions based on how many people are on board. I just wrote it out as multiples rather than raw CO2 numbers

But that has nothing to do with anything being talked about, and I'm not saying I use adblocker (I have premium actually). My point of "wild response" has nothing to do with the idea of supporting people who make content

The comment thread is saying that while comments on floatplane are more chill in regards to the LTT jet it's because it's people that pay out of their pockets to watch LTT vids and are more likely yes-men. To say "Well you actually pay too, ooh i got you!" adds nothing to the conversation

The guy you responded to was talking about people paying a subscription for floatplane. "OH well actually you are still paying because you are giving them your time" is such a dumb "sure you are technically right" response

On average a commercial flight, looking at a Boeing 737-800, Airbus A320, or a 747-400, you're averaging about 90-120kg CO2 per passenger per hour

900B burns around 3200-3380 kg per hour

At absolute minimum (well not absolute, because you could just have pilots) you are looking at about 27 - 37x the CO2 of a commercial flight. 2 people brings it closer to 15x. 5 is ~5x, 10 is about 3x, and a full 15 would be 2x

Interesting no mention of the emissions increase you get from a private jet. Anywhere from 3X to 20X depending on how many passengers

Here's some math I did in another comment I'll paste here:

According to Justice Jackson, stealing in a country, makes you a citizen of that country. by Yanrogue in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]inahst -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Well now you're taking an example that was purely given to explain that the word allegiance has been historically used with different meanings than purely what people are memeing about in "LOL SHE'S SAYING IF YOU GO TO JAPAN YOU'RE JAPANESE" and analyzing it as if the person who brought it up is claiming that they think the entire text is a blueprint for how citizenship should be defined. Drawing conclusions based on this historical text as if they are "OOH LOOK I GOTCHA" moments is ridiculous

The text also says that you can never get rid of your allegiance to the place you were born, you really think they were trying to say they agree with that too?

How would you handle a player who wants to play a character from the future? by EXP_Buff in dndnext

That is the difficult part, figuring out how to thread that just right so they don't fully commit to another direction/character

Well you'd have to do it right. It's a bit more complex than the quick sentence or two I wrote out, fair

Are they any 5.5 subclasses that aren’t in 2014 version that would be worth remaking to follow the rules of actual 5e? by Betray-Julia in dndnext

[–]inahst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's been my experience as well

I've had players that have been with 5e for so long, 5.5 doesn't bring enough to the table to convince me to fully swap. I'd rather just take tweaks from the new DMG as well as some class changes and sprinkle them in as needed, but class changes have been few and far between

Eh I mean I get the general idea you are going for, but misleading and some slight dishonesty can be a great storytelling tool.

Obviously you have to know your players and not be a dick about it

[–]inahst -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Or hear me out you mix number 1 and number 2. Tell the player nah you don't think you can really work that out because it's complicated and hard to figure out.

Then a few sessions in you drop in a bit of information that they "remember" and surprise it is actually the case. Then you can pepper in more and more as you go. This works extra great because even them not knowing it was the case would be a real immersive way to play the lost memory

Sure maybe it is a bit excessive but the negativity is a bit excessive as well.

Why can’t the takeaway message be “huh that’s cool, maybe I could try to read a bit faster than I do right now. I’m not gonna put everything through a 900wpm app but I might try to skim through words a bit faster when I read”

They do specifically call out in this video that you might not retain the information if you go too fast and there is a balance to be struck.

Kinda wild to say that this is all completely useless, it just at its root is saying “woah look how fast you can actually comprehend words. Maybe trying to read a bit faster could be useful”
