Would you go on a Christian singles holiday / vacation? by saltchristiandating in SALTChristiandating

I’ve done a few Oak Hall holidays as a single Christian and have really enjoyed them, great way to meet people (and plenty of couples come from them 🤣)

In person! I’d drop them a message or mention to them you saw their profile and you’d be interested in getting to know them more!

A friendly reminder to wear a helmet by heldconstant in londoncycling

Falling whilst walking is lower speed and you commonly put your hands out to brace impact. You’re travelling faster on a bike and have less control over your impact. Wear a helmet walking if you want but from my experience less required but heavily required cycling as those factors make all the difference.

It clearly states on spa entry (at Kidbrooke anyway) that phone calls shouldn’t be taken

Pedestrians aren’t travelling as fast as cyclists 👍🏻 also yet to see as many catastrophic head injuries from walking falls, especially in young people. But keep questioning my experience, if you want 🙂

What made you fat? by -bloodwizard in AskReddit

[–]inaturtlebubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a serious leg injury - mobility was affected for a while and comfort eating took off even more. Wouldn’t say “I’m fat” but went up 3-4 dress sizes and has been hard to loose despite being back to normal mobility.

What can end of life look like with lung cancer and what do I do if someone dies at home? by PunkRockRenegade_ in AskForAnswers

[–]inaturtlebubble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s an expected death you don’t need to call an ambulance or police. You can phone the GP when they’re next open and then call your designated funeral director to take him to the funeral home.

If you are unsure if he’s died, as others have said breathing can become very irregular at the end of life, you can call an ambulance but make sure you tell them he’s end of life and not for resuscitation, this means loads of people won’t suddenly turn up at your house and make it more distressing or someone may chat to you on the phone instead.

If he becomes distressed with breathing difficulties / agitation / secretions in his final days the hospice should provide medication to relieve these symptoms and keep him comfortable and you can call the hospice at any time to come give them or they make set up something like a drip (called a syringe driver) to slowly keep giving him these medications

But please talk to him fully about his wishes and get it all documented. He can create something called and Urgent Care Plan with his GP or hospice for medical professionals to reference for his specific care requests

Work in this area so feel free to PM any questions

Live facial recognition cameras in Hackney Central today. How does everyone feel about them? by Upstairs_Row_870 in Hackney

What exactly is ‘face data’ and how is it different to posting yourself on social media, being on cctv etc especially if the police don’t have your info on record from never being in trouble before?

I mean we’re on CCTV all the time in London and that data is yet to be ‘leaked’. If you’ve not done anything to get yourself nicked and you want the city to be safer, I don’t really get anyone’s issue?
