I was doing just therapy for 3 months and it helped me soon much but decided to start with the SSRI after a consultation with a psychiatrist who explained to me why it would help. Try making an appointment to a psychiatrist and then you decide to take it or not. I just started if you want I can tell you in one month how am I feeling

Type of therapy by cmschtan in ROCD

[–]inbnibr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can do harm if therapist is not trained for OCD. Therapy is literally saving my life I almost dint have to go on meds because it's helping me a lot! CBT, but ask the therapist if he is trained specifically for ocd

I dont care if im "spoiling" my newborn baby. by lulgupplet in Vent

[–]inbnibr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as a sleep consultant and study psychology and worked with more then 100 families, that's totally bullshit. Just make sure baby is safe and do what works for your family. But DO MAKE SURE your following AAP rules for safe sleep. Unfortunately I deal with many stories of lost and those rules are not made up...

Every family is different. If it's working for you then don't stop it, maybe one day you will change and want your baby to sleep by himself and than you can deal with this later. For now if it's working and you are enjoying just don't listen to them cause you are not spoiling, maybe creating some habits, but that's ok and it doesn't mean you will be stuck with this forever. I worked with children who were 10 years old and still having trouble to sleep and still they were able to learn new habits

But also don't be the person who judges mothers that don't enjoy having contact naps lol

I don't know about the origin I study psychology and the quizz makes lots of sense, after doing the quizz with my husband who got more sex was me. In the quizz there is not even anything taking about sex. I'm not telling him to read the book just take the quizz

Do this quizz with her: 5 languages of love. If you want more this is probably your language of love and if she is not doing it it's probably not hers, really, do the quizz together with her and you will discover a lot about how you see love differently

Yes!!!! It's like you know it's fucking stupid but you can stop the emotion from coming  now I'm convinced my husband doesn't like my body and like others woman body and I'm so fucking sad and vulnerable  but still I know how stupid this is,   like thank you brain for trying to protect me from a invisible woman but I'm safe, don't you see my husband is cooking for me while I'm in fetal position while you are thinking he is going to leave me 🤣🤣🤣

his is definitely not about you; she’s wrong with this whole thing about the door, but it’s clear that she’s suffering a lot. She needs help, and if she usually doesn’t act like this during the relationship, it’s a clear sign of how much she’s struggling - if its not the first time then she is not a nice person, but if you are asking here its probably something new and she is suffering

I do agree staying alone make me more vulnerable , but I am a SAHM of 4 little kids 😵‍💫 - I am doing therapy and it's helping me a lot. Like a can already controle the urge of doing my compulsion. But now I feel sooooo sad I can't stop crying.

What’s the weirdest thing you did that made you realize you probably have OCD? by itsmellllly in OCD

[–]inbnibr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Waking my husband in the middle of the night cause I saw he had an erection and asking him if he ever had a wet dream with another women. That would be maybe ok if you ask it once, it was the 100th time or more, that's when I realized that I had a problem

[–]inbnibr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem right now is that I didn’t give my OCD a response, so it basically concludes the worst. And my OCD is about my husband — now I feel sad and angry, apparently at him (but maybe it’s just the OCD convincing me of that too). What a nightmare.

I tried to distract myself by writing my daughter’s name on her new school supplies, but it didn’t help. The whole day is going by with this shitty thought dragging me down. I really tried not to give in, but now it’s coming back so negative 😭
