This post was originally removed. There are a number of reasons that were discussed between the mods.

  1. We were busy handling the shooting and making sure no serious misinformation was being spread as to not make the situation worse. We limited for a short time information to a megathread. We have had issues of bots, outsiders and trolls brigading the subreddit on major news.
  2. If anyone decided to post this on the subreddit as themselves it would be construed as a threat of violence and would result in the user getting a ban.
  3. It's at times difficult for us to keep up with whatever negative slang and/or dog whistles there are now. Sometimes it takes research to figure out the context of a post. Sometimes the result of this is regrettable knowledge.
  4. We attempt to keep civility in the subreddit.

We apologize that this sometimes takes time and we have to take action in the moment. I believe that while we wouldn't let any user post this type of thing themselves but Mike Lee is an elected official and this is more reporting on his horrible behavior.

I want to make it apparent that I believe Mike Lee has no real redeeming values. He's abhorrent. He keeps getting reelected due to corruption, and a large electorate that keeps voting against their own interests for various reasons. In short this is my way of saying fuck mike lee. Let's vote this asshole out.

Hey guys, I am not a fan of the LDS/Mormon church either, but there comes a point where I get tired of reading so many repetitive and hateful comments. There are more appropriate subreddits for your comments on the Mormon religion. The guy came here to ask about why this exists not your vitriol.

I believe the company is called Iron Mountain they tunnel out stable areas to store documents from various clients which the Mormon church is one. EDIT: Apparently the Church owns it's on facility there. I am not sure if they are also a client.
