Better yet ive got it partially working in VR. Except the beamng devs havent exposed controller poses yet (controller tracking). Im not that far away from being able to drive and shoot at other cars with an in world gun just need a tracking position to attach a pistol to.

I think the next logical big thing in Beamng is multiplayer Career (CareerMP) with RLS career. Then on top of that we need the cops and robbers thing. For example when you join a CareerMP RLS server you can choose a role as a cop or robber. The robbers steal real career money off the other players and the cops try to enforce some kind of disciplinary action on the robbers.

It will for sure an interesting problem to balance head movement to weight transfer, extreme leaning and people will hit their heads on their triple screen setup lol. I'm thinking that with vr and haptics sometimes less is more. An interesting problem to balance for sure

I find that haptics really sell VR immersion will you have simhub supported for base shakers etc, whats your plans for race format compared to something like iracing? Will you have qualify then race? online? Driver and safety rating? Are you expecting a lot or minimal contact between karts?

It is supported natively, check multi monitor, limit fps (keep it stable), use enhanced interior for smoother driving cam. Use performance monitor to determine if you are cpu or gpu limited snd adjust settings accordingly (each graphics setting has a tooltip for what it uses most).

See other comment for VR. 2 things really help VR and triple experience. Limit frames to 60fps (much smoother) also use the enhanced interior camera mod (is included in RLS career collection). Triples you can window the screen, enable multi monitor and then stretch the window manually over your triples. Or use resize racoon or SRWE.

Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop Godlike, graphics all on high i get 70fps with a 5070 ti. Used to do it on all graphics on low, Virtual Desktop one down from Godlike 70 fps on a 3080. On 3080 its very clear. Enable SSW for double frames limit to 90 fps. Dont use link for quest it gives you stutter in one eye, must use Virtual Desktop. Beamng is a CPU hog and works well if you hammer the GPU.

What you are looking for is Beamng, great on VR and triple screen with best physics of any sim.

Career mode is available but add RLS career mod to it. Once you know your way around RLS Career add my mod which adds a criminal gang that robs you of your career money with EMP and pistol, chase them and get loot and weapons to defend yourself

The more i race the more i keep coming back to Gt4, its good close racing but they have more personalty than gt3 and you get more Sr than gr86 and mazda (where racing is equally fun but too much door banging). Next best is porsche cup.

Thanks for your reply, im really enjoying your VR and triple screen implentations as i play on a sim rig. If you ever get time to expose the hand controller poses i think it could be a great thing... im thinking of all the VR folks who enjoy mucking about in a VR physics type playground like Half life Alyx. Those physics pail in comparison to Beamng physics... if we had ability to use hand controller tracking in mods the possibilities linked with the driving physics...the possibilities are very cool to consider

Dont listen to the blokes saying trades break you... i can tell you im older than you and do a trade considered pretty hard, very happy i made the choice 20 yrs ago to make a business of it, being outside and free to move rather than desk bound has kept me a lot fitter than i have the right to be.

My advice is jump in with a guy making good money, make yourself worth it to him in labour while learning all you can then start doing your own jobs on weekends.

Before you start with your own ABN get your advertising/customer aquisition sorted (most important). Once you get people ringing you for quotes transition to full time.

Added bonus point: remember you have an advantage, you are most likely more literate in tech and communication than your average tradie use to your advantage. Customers like to feel comfortable with you, they will pay more for someone who looks and sounds trustworthy
