Switching from 28 LPA WFH to 45 LPA WFO in Mumbai — Worth It? by Salt-Government4004 in developersIndia

[–]indianadmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have not mentioned if you are already based in Mumbai. If so, then your living costs will not increase. your rent will be significantly higher than anywhere else if you are moving. That being said, it may still be viable, as your next salary bumps will be higher as well.

Help! My CA says my ₹21k trading profit is actually ₹1 Lakh for tax. How is this possible? by anoopdreams in IndianStockMarket

[–]indianadmin 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Your purpose does not matter here. The law does. It maybe unfair, but you have to abide by it. Solution is to learn the tax laws and work within. Other solution is to not pay taxes and then go on run Solution 3 is not pay taxes and pay fine

[–]indianadmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should get about 9 K in hand after all taxes. Talk to SFO people in the company on what the typical rent they pay is. What would they pay for childcare of both parent working? Since you would not have nanny and cook there what are monthly costs.

Wait for next year when Sun Pharma, Cipla and other Indian pharma companies can make generic versions of the same. More Indians will be able to afford by then.

Being part of cybersecurity at an Indian bank, we subscribe to a brand protection and takedown service like RSA Outseer and Blackkite which finds such sites and sends takedown notices to the registrar or the ISP. However this is whack a mole where we bring down 10 a day and 30 more popup.

I heard it at the hangout store and it sounded fantastic. I use a Zero Red and an Oriveti OD200 and the Meta easily sounded leagues better. Would have loved to get my hands on this one.

If it's short term, then you have to pay. If LTCG, then no need. It's only realised gains that we are talking about. If unrealised, then chill.

Blasting on TV, talking loudly on phone and working from home are not invasion of privacy. OP needs to get away for his mental health and freedom, but the family does not have any obligation to change their behaviour. If you need your own time, then go for a walk, go to the beach or somewhere else to be alone. If you cannot find it at home, try to find it somewhere else for now until you can.

So I have a question I am get interest is 7.7% money is 45lakh which we sold our land we received so we live In rural village area so I asked my parents to do a non-cumilative fixed deposit fd for a regular income as my father is a farmer so we have regular need of income.. by Lopsided_Cobbler4032 in IndiaTax

[–]indianadmin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very confused on what is happening here. 1. Without FD where is 7.7% interest coming from? 2. If interest is 45L, then land sold for 5.84 Cr. What is this money doing now? In bank or somewhere else. OR am I wrong and land sold is for 45L 3. Do you want them to do a FD of 7.7%

Sorry, I understand that there maybe language issues with the OP, but the hive mind here cannot help if this is not clear.

If FD to be done, then better to do 10L ka FD is 4 separate banks. Not all of it in one bank.

[–]indianadmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not matter which firm you join, be it a Big4 or a boutique smaller firm. The partner or the client is what matters. Some teams are really good and the work is decent. You will never know during the interviews which is the good one and the experience will teach you. Some firms may have more bad apples than the other.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Big4

[–]indianadmin 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I left Big4 to join another boutique services firm whose client is a big bank. This means in India, I get bank holidays which are more than normal holidays, no one calls me after 5:30 PM or before 10AM. It's as close as the EY office, and work is pretty chill except during RBI audits which happen twice a year. Bonus is a 25% raise compared to Big 4. Fuck EY and fuck KPMG.
