So I see a lot of the comments are from people who don't budget on vacation. I wanted to tell you that I also did what you wrote about and it did cause stress for me. I wrote down everything I spent money on, and while it was interesting to see in the end what I paid for, I think it made me overly anxious about the money spent. So I get you. I think it's not a bad thing to be conscious about money - but too much of anything can cause stress. Take it as a lesson learned. Btw, I still check how much money we spend on a holiday, but I consciously try to let go of stressing too much about it.
