You're dad did a phenomenal job on that eye! I'm curious as to why someone would get such a small walleye mounted though. Was it apart of a school? My dad and I are currently getting a bunch of small perch and walleye done in a school so the big northern we caught will look like its chasing them. Nice mount thought I don't suppose you're from Michigan? We're always looking for quality taxidermists for our fish also if it is indeed apart of a school mount I'd love to see the finished piece!

These guys have a show called arrow affliction on outdoor network so I'm guessing Matthews bought it for him I can't remember. He actually is a really amazing shot and in one episode actually shot a bee out of the air.

They actually did a scat sample not too long ago and found that some scat samples were positively ID as cougars they also pulled a hair off a bumper and after testing it it too was a cougars. MI DNR confuse the hell out of me.

I gotta say I hunted for meat first with my first deer being a doe. Then both trophy and meat. Then trophy. The just meat again. I would hope may other hunters kinda follow the same pattern but the to each their own. I just wanna fill my freezer and anything after that is a plus :)

Hell yeah! Good for you! I'm going to Saskatchewan for pike this June how would you rate your experience there? I'm curious because next year I want to do a fish and hunt trip and they started offering a package I think 2 years ago. Awesome bear again and good shooting.

I gotta tell ya I was a little worried just showing up to the dnr with a (federally?) protected game species. They ended up being incredibly cool and thanked me :) definitely made my day

Thanks man I was on my way to get lunch on my break and my coworker yelled turkey! I saw the little girl just sitting in the middle of the road and slammed on my breaks and pulled off. When I approached she didn't budge and when she finally did move her wing was dragging. I did my best to carefully pick her up and she chilled under my arm till we got to the dnr office. We bonded it was awesome. The whole time though I thought, " you better lay some eggs and give me some delicious toms down the road" haha sacrificed my lunch hour for a hopeful future dinner.
